Coral Bay in Paphos

Paphos has a number of small beaches of its own, but one of the best beaches in the area is located around 6 kilometres north of the city. Coral Bay is a bustling coastal resort boasting traditional tavernas, lively bars and a beautiful sandy bay to while away your time on.

The beach carries blue flag status due to its excellent levels of cleanliness and safety. It has soft, golden sand and plenty of loungers and parasols to make yourself comfortable for the day. But if you find it hard to sit still for too long, the strong sea breeze in the area provides perfect conditions for water sports. Water skiing is a popular activity to try whilst at Coral Bay, so why not give it a go and see how long you can stay on your feet for.

After a fun day at the beach, you're sure to have worked up a pretty big appetite. But you won't have far to walk to satisfy those cravings. The town is lined with a great selection of bars and restaurants for you to get your fix of Cypriot meze or moussaka.

It's very easy to get to Coral Bay from Paphos. There are regular buses running from Paphos that will take you into the centre of the resort or if you have a hire car, it is just a 15 minute drive. But one of the most fun ways to get to Coral Bay is to hire a bicycle and take the scenic route right along the coastal path.
