Aphrodite Water Park in Cyprus

Whether you're holidaying with the family, friends or as a couple, there are those days when catching the rays on one of Cyprus' beautiful beaches isn't going to please everyone. Time for a back-up plan!

Fortunately, there's plenty of opportunities for some family fun that'll keep everyone happy. Also known as the 'Paphos Aphrodite Water Park', Paphos Water Park is widely regarded as Cyprus' biggest, best and most exciting water park; perfect for the entire family and giving everyone a chance to cool off from the heat of the midday sun.

Getting There and Getting In

It attracts over 100,000 visitors each year, but even during the height of the summer there's plenty of room for everyone, thanks to its size. The Paphos Water Park has been naturally landscaped to make use of the stunning local backdrop. You'll find it just a ten-minute drive from the centre of Paphos, and a short walk from the nearby Rikkos Beach.

The park opens at 10.30am and stays open until 5.30pm, seven days a week. The water park is very popular, so it can be worth getting there earlier in the day to avoid any queues, both for entrance tickets and rides. Entrance fees are 30€ per adult and 17€ for every child under the age of 12. Children aged three or under can enter the best water park Paphos has to offer for free!

If you want to save some of your spending money, book online to receive a 15% discount. If you've hired a car to get you to the Aphrodite Paphos Water Park, you'll find that there's plenty of parking available, and it's free too.

Rides and Slides for Adrenaline Junkies

Once inside the park, the toughest decision you'll have to make is which attractions to start with. For those who want to inject a shot of adrenaline into their visit, there are nine high-octane rides and slides to choose from. Possibly the most popular is the famous Kamikaze; the highest slide in the water park. This is a body-only slide filled with stomach-dropping dips; ideal for anyone with a need for speed and a head for heights. The Free Fall offers a sheer, 15 metre-drop, with a sheet of fast-flowing water that makes sure you reach maximum speed!

Family Fun at Paphos Water Park

However, it's not just white-knuckles and vertigo-inducing heights at the Paphos water park. There are plenty of rides for families, such as the Family Rafting experience, in which you and your party climb into a giant dinghy, which twists and turns as it races down a long, snaking chute into the splash-pool below.

Alternatively, the Wave Pool is ideal for those who aren't speed-freaks, but enjoy a good splash about. For younger visitors, the Lazy River is a laid-back version of the Family Rafting ride, and the Pirate Ship is perfect for junior buccaneers, with the opportunity to make their parents walk the plank!

Lifeguards and Amenities

Safety is paramount at the Aphrodite Water Park Paphos and there are lifeguards on duty throughout the park. When it comes to relaxing, there are over 1,000 sunbeds and parasols to chill out on, and even free Wi-Fi, if you want to upload your photos or check your emails.

In addition to the amenities you'd expect (including toilets, lockers, First Aid facilities and lifejacket hire), there is an excellent selection of food and beverages, for when you need a light meal or a refreshing drink.
