Nice hotel but very dissapointing
Let’s start with the good, the hotel was lovely in a really good location. It was clean and the staff were really friendly. However, the dining situation let it down considerably. The restaurant is too small for the amount of people. The tables were so close together there was no privacy. Quite often there was no where to sit to eat. The food was always cold and not much of a selection, very repetitive menu. Eggs in the morning were like rubber bullets, always over cooked and left sitting in semi hot water. The evening was much the same standard. There was no pleasure in the experience and we landed up eating out each day. They did have al le carte. On the Friday and Saturday. We booked this in hope. However the Asian choice (only one) was a very limited menu with two items for starter. This was also the choice for both nights, despite the advertised ,choice, very dissapointing. No way a 4 star expetience .
Nice find
Was a lovely hotel, rooms perfect, staff friendly and nice surrounding areas. Food was excellent and different every day. I would come here again as everything we wanted for a quiet birthday holiday. Resorts each side of us were walkable but was very hot in august to walk enjoyable
Gorgeous view, lovely place to get away and not think about anything at home.
PROS: The staff are very friendly and sweet. Deluxe lounge was a nice getaway from the busier lobby area. Food was good quality. The view from the 6th floor sea view room was great. The beds are comfy. The deluxe rooms are very spacious and super clean. The spa was run by very friendly staff including a full body massage from an excellent masseuse. The indoor pool area was clean. Plenty of sunbeds, never any rushing to get a good spot. Small but nice and clean beach area. Drinks on the deluxe package were good. Some of the cocktails didn’t quite hit the mark though and maybe some further training required here but I do think they didn’t scrimp on the booze! We arrived just before the dinner buffet was closing at 9pm but the kind staff accommodated us and also left sandwiches in our room due to the late flight. Stylish good quality interiors. All areas clean. Salads and fruit on the buffet always tasted very fresh. CONS: Due to the time of year, none of the restaurants were open. I was under the impression at least one would be so I was disappointed. I found the food to be of good quality but repetitive in the buffet area. The food themes were quite samey with “Asian” being the main food choice for 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed. (One night was international but I would say Chinese/Asian was still the main food on offer). The outdoor pool was very cold as was the indoor pool which meant I didn’t get to swim at all during my stay. I will say though it is March and I can’t expect it to be much different. We requested a late checkout as our flight was not until 9pm. Even though this was requested upon booking, and 2 more times during the stay, we were still told it was not guaranteed unless we went down on the day of departure and checked with reception. Whilst I can understand why they may have had to do this, it was annoying to be in limbo for so long not knowing whether to prepare to leave etc. I wouldn’t expect very enthralling entertainment if that’s what you’re after, there were some singers and a Greek night which were good but I don’t think entertainment is this hotels main focus. Finally, and I will say that we did not report this so I can’t comment on how it would be rectified or not… there were some ants in our room. They were primarily in one area and mainly stayed there unless you left food out elsewhere. We were on the sixth floor and I guess I thought they wouldn’t be an issue there but maybe I am wrong, it’s not something you encounter indoors living in the UK. It was mildly annoying and I think for the money I would have expected some preventative measures such as ant traps. I would have preferred to see an ant trap being used than live ants.
