See world-class sculptures

There’s something very unusual about Vela Luka’s Cultural Centre - it’s a treasure trove of modern art. A pair of bronze sculptures by Yorkshire-born Henry Moore stand alongside works by other foreign artists, including controversial postmodernist Erró from Iceland and Venezuelan op-artist Jesús Rafael Soto, whose works have also been exhibited in the Guggenheim in New York and Pompidou Centre in Paris.

You can also see some fascinating prehistoric artifacts here, which were found in a cave near the town. Evidence suggests that there’s been human activity on Korcula for an incredible 20,000 years!
