One of the most popular beaches in Dubrovnik is Banje Beach. Paddling in the crystal blue water is the perfect way to spend an afternoon, or if you’d like to chill out, you can hire a sunbed in a private area for ultimate tranquillity. If you’re feeling adventurous on your holiday to Dubrovnik, you can kayak around Lokrum Island. This might take you a few hours, but you’ll experience views around the coastline which few can say they’ve seen. On your adventure, you can also stop at a cave to do some snorkelling, which is a great way to explore Dubrovnik’s hidden, natural beauty under the sea.

Dubrovnik’s ancient streets and authentic way of life will give you lots of unique dining opportunities. Visit one of the small bars perched on the cliff outside the city walls, which is an ideal place to relax with a glass of wine after a day of exploring. Dubrovnik is well-known for its sea-to-table dishes, like oysters from Mali Ston, which are deliciously fresh. Tasty and traditional, meals in Dubrovnik are packed with Croatian influences. Spring is the best time for foodies to go on holiday, as it’s the start of the tourist season and restaurants begin stocking up on the freshest ingredients.

Dubrovnik has plenty of history which you can see by strolling around the Old Town. However, if you’d like to delve deeper into Dubrovnik’s past, the city has a host of intriguing museums. For all things traditionally Croatian, head to the Ethnographic Museum where you can see ancient clothing, household objects and works of art. If you’d prefer to see some historic design, the Dominican Monastery is home to lots of gothic architecture and beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s no surprise Dubrovnik’s magical, medieval atmosphere was seen as the perfect place to film Game of Thrones.
