Fabulous Experience

We visited this hotel back in May and I had been meaning to post this review. We stayed for 5 nights and had arranged private transfer from the airport. The booking was in my name and we were collected by a lady driver which was a considerate touch. My husband didn’t mind! It was so fabulous I would love to return next year. We were greeted at reception with a glass of pink bubbly and then escorted to our rooms. Our room had a full unobscured sea view with a balcony. It was exquisite. Each evening the cruise liners passed by as they left the city on their travels. We had only booked B&B but when we saw the quality of the food we had dinner each evening too. Food was delicious with plenty of choice. There was a private beach with bar service to your sun lounger and a snack bar on ground level. The bus stop to town is right outside the hotel with buses running regularly actually there was always a bus there when we went out. The hotel is the last stop and old town last stop the other end. Tickets can be purchased in the hotel shop. I couldn’t recommend this hotel enough - Josephine

Could Do Better

Lovely hotel in a nice setting with lovely views however during our stay. Suitcases had to be fetched myself after an hours wait and a phone call to reception. Buffet breakfast and evening meals are OK but nothing special and evening meals are very expensive if you haven’t gone for the half board option. Water is roughly 4 pound for a 75cl if you want this with your evening meal but free at breakfast time. Asked for a bottle of fizz to be delivered to our room as we were celebrating a special occasion. Never showed up. Outside pool area is poor. No deep or shallow end and too small for the size of the hotel and awful rowdy children whose parents have no concern for other guests and smaller well behaved children. Mattresses were grubby on the sun beds so get 2 towels each. One small very poorly stocked bar area for the whole of the hotel and the entertainment if you can call it that was dire. No where to get a lunch time snack. Spent time across the Tirena Sunny which had a beautiful large pool area, good entertainment and a nice little snack bar with a good menu reasonable prices. Try Komins for great food across the road overlooking the Babin Kuk. Rooms were great and comfortable and the house keeping staff do an amazing job and always very polite.

This hotel was wonderful. Beautiful beach just make sure to bring water shoes. The beach is rocky but beautiful! Great location and great staff. We can't wait to come back here. We took the shuttle to the old town frequently and had delicious food at Zuzori a Michelin Star restaurant that really lived up to the hype. Everything we ate there was delicious!!!!
