Rome Nightlife You Don’t Want to Miss
Rome is a wonderful city for nightlife, from wine bars to clubs and friendly squares where you can enjoy some al fresco drinks in the summer.
Campo dei Fiori is a popular square that’s full of life. If you’re after some fun head to the bar known as the Drunken Ship, where you can play drinking games such as beer pong. If you’re looking for something a bit more refined, try Piazza Trillusa. Here you’ll find places like Baccanale serving some of Italy’s finest wines in a welcoming open-air setting.
As the night goes on, the time will come to hit the clubs, and there’s no better place for this than the Testaccio district. With over a dozen clubs playing everything from house to hip hop, you’re sure to find something suited to your taste. It’s fair distance from the centre of Rome, so you’ll need to take a taxi. If you don’t have any cash, make sure you ask the driver if you can pay with card before you set off.
Akab is a great spot if you’re stuck on where to go, as the DJ’s play a wide variety of tunes. The entry fee and drink prices are on the steeper side of things, so it’s best to avoid it if you’re on a budget. Alternatively, head to Conte Staccio if you’re into live music. This club hosts bands that play everything from reggae to blues and rock and roll.
If you’re looking for a truly epic experience, then head to City Dream in the suburbs. The largest disco in Rome, this club plays host to world famous DJs like Ricky Romero and Quintino, making it a really popular choice.
