Prague – Weather
The weather in Prague is warmest in the summer months, so this is the best time to come if you don’t mind the heat. With its stunning medieval architecture, rich history and (some say) the best beer in Europe, there’s plenty to love about Prague. Things don’t often get so hot that it affects your sightseeing, although the winter can be really cold. Seeing the city’s medieval buildings covered in snow can be an unforgettable experience though.
Fall in love with Prague in spring
Prague weather is fairly temperate but spring is definitely the best time to plan your trip. The spring months are generally warm and sunny, and quieter than summer too. May’s particularly beautiful, as the flowers around the city are just beginning to bloom.
Come to Prague in the summer months and you may find the heat overwhelming. It’s also rainy season, which means you’ll need to pack an umbrella or a light raincoat to make the most of your days spent sightseeing. The weather in Prague in winter can be unpredictable, with snowy days followed by periods of mild weather. This is a great time to stroll around the city’s galleries and museums or cosy up in a beer bar.
Some of our favourite places to visit in Prague include the 9th century castle and the beautiful St Vitus Cathedral, as well as the Old Town Hall with its medieval astronomical clock that puts on an hourly show. While you’re here, make sure you enjoy a cruise on the river Vltava on a sunny day.
