Paris – Weather
Paris has four quite distinct seasons, making the weather in Paris pleasantly predictable for the most part. You can expect it to be nice and warm in the summer, with average temperatures of 20ºC, perfect for relaxing in one of the city’s many parks. Things get quite cool over winter, but if you’re lucky enough to be up the Eiffel Tower when it’s snowing then you’re in for a real treat.
We love Paris in the springtime
Paris weather is generally fairly warm although it can get chilly over the winter months from December to February. Spring and autumn are the most popular (and, some say, the most beautiful) times of year for a trip to Paris. From April to June and September to November you can generally avoid the crowds and enjoy pleasant, warm weather without it being too hot. May is the rainiest month in the city, so if you’re planning a late spring trip to Paris make sure you pack your jacket and umbrella.
There’s plenty to see and do even on rainy or cold days in Paris, with museums such as The Louvre and the Musée D’Orsay as well as shopping on the iconic Champs Elysées or in one of the city’s department stores like Galeries Lafayette.
Some of our favourite places to visit in Paris include the Eiffel Tower, because you really can’t come to Paris without taking the lift to the top and snapping some holiday photos, the Louvre and, of course, the Gothic cathedral of Notre-Dame. When Paris weather is sunny, don’t be afraid to go off the beaten track a little, as many areas of the city are walkable.
