Stag and Hen Weekends in Berlin

Berlin is known for being one of the better value cities in Western Europe, so it’s perfect for stag and hen weekends. If you’re the lucky friend that gets to organise the adventure, you can plan a brilliant time in Germany’s capital.

The most popular activities for those last weekends of freedom usually revolve around beer bikes, beer hall crawls, waterskiing, kayaking, spas and brewery tours, but it’s the mega clubs and bars that are the main attraction. The nightlife’s very liberal, which may be ideal for your group.

From derelict buildings to beach bars and roof-top havens, there are lots of great places to relax with a drink. And if you fancy something a little different to please your stags or hens, head to Monster Ronson’s Ichiban Karaoke bar and sing or shout your heart out to the latest hits.

Prater Garden in Prenzlauer Berg has the oldest beer garden in the city dating back to 1837, which makes it popular for stag dos. If rooftop wine bars are more your thing, head to the Amano Hotel. Sip a delicious cocktail with views of the former East Berlin central district as the sun goes down in front of you.

The beach at the top of the Schönhauser Allee Arkaden building’s an interesting spot, while Solar’s the place to splash the cash. You can relax in the deep leather sofas and look out over the city.

If you love wine, weinerei is one of the best places to go whether you’re a stag or hen. You pay a deposit on a glass and then you’re free to drink as much wine as you like, paying what you think you should when you leave.
