4 Best Clubs in Edinburgh
There are plenty of great clubs in Edinburgh if you’re looking for a fun night out in the Scottish capital.
Cabaret Voltaire is one of the very best, with brick archways and quirky tunnels making it one of the city’s most unique nightspots. Found underneath Edinburgh’s Old Town, it has a fabulous ambience. A pizza restaurant by day, the mood changes after dark as the neon purple lighting flickers on and the resident DJ heads to the booth.
If you like intimate venues with great tunes, then spend a night at Sneaky Pete’s. With a capacity of just 150, you can expect to see band memorabilia decorating the walls and graffiti covering the toilets. You can also catch bands there sometimes, so take a look at what’s on if you like live music.
Liquid Room is a nightclub housed in the basement of a former church. Although you can dance along to DJs, the venue’s well known as a great place to watch live bands. Groups that have played here in the past include the likes of Kasabian, Snow Patrol and Vampire Weekend, and it’s perfect if you love keeping an eye out for up-and-coming bands.
If your musical taste is a bit more mainstream, then head to Lulu. You can dance away to pop hits in a glam environment any night of the week, and the broad appeal of this place is great if you’re travelling as part of a large group.
