Dubai – Weather
If you’re looking for year-round sunshine, the weather in Dubai is a safe bet for sizzling summers and warm winters. It’s not surprising that thousands of people travel to this vibrant city for some winter sun and summer family holidays. The hottest weather is in July and August. During these summer months, it’s been known to reach highs of 42°C, so we suggest only going during this time if you’re comfortable in extreme heat.
How to handle the heat
Dubai weather tends to be sunny, which is fabulous if you’re hoping to soak up the rays and top up your tan.
We urge you to look after yourself and drink plenty of water, apply lots of sun cream, and stay out of the midday sun, especially if you have young children with you. A trip to Dubai’s air-conditioned mall during the hottest part of the day might be just the ticket to cool down and relax.
When’s the best time to visit Dubai?
If you’re hoping to catch the best of the weather in Dubai, we suggest planning your trip during the winter season. This typically spans from October through to March. You should experience pleasantly warm temperatures, which are ideal if you want to go exploring. There’s nothing better than taking in some of the beautiful sights Dubai has to offer.
Some of our favourite places to see include the Dubai fountains, Burj Khalifa, and Emirates Towers. These three sites are an absolute must-see, with the evening light and music show at the Dubai fountains particularly spectacular.
If you decide to visit Dubai during March or May, you should prepare for the weather to climb its way towards summer temperatures.
