Dubai After Sunset
Dubai faces west, which is perfect if you love to watch the sunset. For the best view of the sun going down into the water with some seafood, head to Pierchic. Follow the private pier out and take in the amazing views of the Burj Al Arab. It’s the world’s only seven star hotel and known as the most luxurious one in the world. If you’re looking for picture perfect romance you can’t beat this view and ambience, so you might as well order the oysters, lobster and scallops too.
If you’re on a budget the Umm Seqeim Open Beach is one of the best places to watch the sunset. Here you can enjoy excellent views of the Burj Al Arab and hear the waves crashing as the soundtrack to the sundown.
Of course, as the tallest building in the world, the Burj Khalifa is one of the best places to watch the evening draw in. Book your tickets early and head up to the 148th floor, and make sure you dress up a little. The bar is called At the Top, and they have quite a strict door policy, dress code and even secret passwords to get in.
Closer to the ground the Dubai Fountain has a light show every 30 minutes from 6pm until 11pm. The stunning resort of the Madinat Jumeirah is another great spot to watch the sunset from, especially because you can watch it from the comfort of your sun lounger or hot tub.
After sunset Dubai’s roof gardens come alive. Chill Rooftop is a trendy and laid back place with comfy sofas and resident DJs creating the mood. The Tamanya Terrace rooftop bar at the Radisson Blu Hotel has an air conditioned tent on the rooftop lounge, so you can still see out to admire the view in comfort.
