Wet ‘n’ Wild

Heading to Cancun with the family? Wet ’n Wild Cancun should be on your list of things to do. Splashing around at this waterpark isn’t just great way to cool off from the Caribbean sunshine; it also promises a day of adventure for kids and grown-ups alike.

This is very much a family-friendly day out, and has been specifically designed to appeal to water babies of all ages. From gentle rides for tiny tots and lazy rivers to help relax stressed-out parents, to white-knuckle rides, slides and flooms, there’s something for everyone at one of Mexico’s top family attractions.

Ride the slides

An array of huge water slides is ready and waiting for you at Wet ’n Wild Cancun. First up, there’s the Twister, a two-person ride that you can race down at speed. Then you can feel the adrenaline rush as you fly down the Kamikaze, taking on the corners at full pelt before launching yourself into the splash pool at the bottom. If you’re feeling really brave, head for the Double Space Bowl; you could reach up to 50km as you slide down from 15 metres in the air. This one’s definitely not for the faint hearted.

Prefer to take it slow? The lazy river runs through the entire park, so just sit back, relax and soak up the Caribbean sunshine.

Splash around

If you fancy a break from the rides, you can take a dip in the pools that are dotted across the park. Have a swim around and wait for the waves to start; just be aware that they can reach up to a metre high. You won’t want to miss the Bumper Boat either; they’re a bit like dodgem cars, but you’ll get wet. In case that’s not enough, you’ve also got boogie board relay races and balloon flights. What more could you possibly want?

Head to the kids’ park

The little ones are sure to love spending the day at Wet ’n Wild Cancun. The kids’ pool will keep them entertained for hours, and they’ll adore riding the mini slides and splashing around in the pool. Don’t forget to take the younger members of your party over to the Wet Bubble; they can challenge themselves to climb on top of the bubble and see how long they can bounce before sliding back into the water.
