Fishermen from around the world travel to Cancun's Carribean waters to take part in the ultimate deep sea fishing experience. A rich variety of fish can be caught including mahi-mahis, sailfish, barracudas, king mackerals, wahoos, tunas, groupers, snappers and sharks.

Excursions to the most populous fishing areas take place throughout the day with a licensed captain accompanied by a BBQ lunch and drinks. Trips can be arranged with any of the resorts within the Hotel Zones or by contacting the Cancun Interactive Aquarium in advance.

Many of the beach locals also own their own boats and are accustomed to navigating the Caribbean seas and locating the most populous marine life. Catching a tuna on one of these excursions will be a delight for the locals who will assist you in serving an excellent BBQ tuna steak. The trips are also a great way to meet other Brits staying in the resort and once you hit the nightlife you can reminisce on the one that got away over a cold Mexican beer.
