Where are the best beaches in Runaway Bay?

There are a selection of beaches to choose from in Runaway Bay, some free to access and some with an entrance fee. You will find that some of the larger hotels in the resort have their own private beaches sectioned off and these are generally busier than the public beaches used by the locals.

All the beaches in this resort are white powder-soft sands that gently shelve into the clear seas. It is worth wading out with a snorkel to see an array of colourful fish swimming close to the coastline.

Cardiff Hall Beach is open to the public and is quieter than the other beaches in the neighbouring resorts of Ocho Rios and Montego Bay. A visit to Fisherman’s Beach wouldn’t be complete without a meal in the famous Sharkie’s restaurant, you can order authentic Jamaican seafood dishes and sip on a cool drink overlooking the ocean whilst you wait for your food to arrive.
