When is the best time to visit Negril?

It really depends on what you are looking for. During the winter months the temperature is pleasant and warm however the resort can get busy with holidaymakers escaping the cold back home. Spring brings warmer temperatures but without the high humidity of the summer months. From June through to October the heat and humidity is intense although the resort is quieter with the risk of tropical storms.

What day trips can I do from Negril?

One of the most popular day trips in Jamaica is visiting the famous Dunn’s River Falls. Climb 180m to the top of the falls and cool off in cascading waters as you go.
Head inland and visit the home of Bob Marley which has now been turned into a museum, visit his mausoleum and immerse yourself in the music and culture of the island.
If you want to take to the water you can hire a catamaran or go on one of the organised excursions along the coast.

Yes, in fact Negril is a great base to explore the coastline. The resort is split into two sections, one end is the famous Seven Mile Beach with shallow clear waters and amazing beach reefs whilst the other side, in contrast, has cliffs that lead to caves and coral reefs full of tropical fish.
