Punta Cana – Weather
Punta Cana sits on the picturesque island of the Dominican Republic where its sandy shores are greeted by hot and humid temperatures all year round. There are only two distinctive seasons, the wet season, which runs from May through to November and the dry season, which lasts from December to April. You can expect to find that the weather in the wet season is still hot and rather humid with average temperatures of 28°C. It sees the most of the yearly rainfall and there is a potential risk of hurricanes around August and September. The dry season is arguably the most popular time to visit, as the rain is nearly non-existent and the weather is less humid but still full of sunshine. The heat usually lingers around average temperatures of 25°C and only drops slightly in the evening.
