    Full moon festival: In December, the Full Moon Festival takes place for three days in Guardalavaca. The event attracts locals and visitors to experience the live music, dancing and market stalls. Forget English music festivals in fields – this one takes place on the golden sands of Guardalavaca’s beautiful beach. 

    Carnival: Cuba is an exciting place to celebrate Carnival, which takes place every year in August. There are lots of celebrations to experience in the nearby city of Holguin, around 45 minutes’ drive from Guardalavaca. Festivities include parades, musical performances, costumes and a big party atmosphere.
