Royal Hideaway Corales Beach - Adult Only is the swanky retreat you've been dreaming of. Part of Barcelo Hotel Group, it's the child-free section of the Corales Beach hotel in La Caleta, Tenerife. Amongst the three outdoor heated swimming pools (including the one at the neighbouring Royal Hideaway Corales Suites, which has no age restrictions), you'll find a beautiful infinity pool with glorious Atlantic views, and there's also a heated whirlpool. Unwind on the pool terrace with a drink from one of the two poolside bars, or visit the rooftop bar for views over the hills and ocean.

While life at the hotel centres around the outdoor pools, there's a gym and fitness classes, too. And if you really want to bliss out, make your way to the spa with its Turkish bath, sauna and array of massages and other treatments.

With entertainment six evenings a week, including live music, and four restaurants to choose from, you'll be in heaven! The hotel's buffet restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner, and there are three a la carte restaurants - all serve dinner and the Mediterranean grill is also open for lunch. And that's not all! There's also an ice cream bar, one of the poolside bars serves food, and there's a cafe, too, giving you plenty of choice. Or for a totally relaxing evening, sit back on your terrace and make the most of the 24-hour room service - your own private hideaway.

It's not all about the hotel, though! Take a stroll over to La Caleta village (500m) or Playa La Enramada (50m), the closest of the nearby beaches. Into golf? Tee off at Golf Costa Adeje, which is within walking distance of Royal Hideaway Corales Resort. It's a par 72, 18-hole course on the site of a former banana plantation, with mountain and sea views.

Make sure you try the cable car ride for panoramic views across Tenerife! For shopping, Plaza del Duque Shopping Centre is 2.5km from Royal Hideaway Corales Beach. The town of Adeje is 5km away - there are bars, cafes and restaurants here, as well as beaches with clear waters that are popular with divers and snorkellers.
