Great gym, nice buffet & lovely entertainers

Jan 2022 | wanderlustcurlysue
I stayed here during a family holiday in December and found it a great spot. The buffet had lots of choice and was constantly being topped up with fresh food, the entertainers were always making everyone laugh and get involved which was lovely, My family and I always liked seeing Anton and Sara for the entertainment in the evenings! The location was pretty close to the sea, with a pretty coastal walk along the sea to Costa Teguise, where there's some nice beaches, shops, restaurants and a surf school. My favourite part of the hotel was the gym, with a fully kitted out indoor outdoor crossfit meets commercial style gym. There were a variety of pools too, I spent more time in the sea or reading beside the pool than in them, the one I did an aqua class in was freezing so hopefully the others are warmer, but otherwise, the layout of the pools is a relaxing holiday vibe. I'll probably come back to this spot again sometime.

Excellent stay, thank you to the team!

Beach is a taxi ride away (4/5 Euros) and also there are restaurants, and shops in the small town. Kids clubs (2-5 years) and older kids clubs! It was great to have this facility and Alondra did a wonderful job keeping the children engaged with fun activities. We had a 2 bedroom deluxe room - excellent space with a small lounge area as well. The hotel does have some renovation work occurring but it did not disturb us during our stay. The team catered for our dietary requirements as we are vegan (provided soya milks, soya yogurts, tofu, vegan sausage, vegan nuggets). They provided vegan food daily and we went for all inclusive package. By far the BEST coffee at the snack bar!!!! They do have a children's playground which does need upgrading and would be nice if could create a sand box but its nice they have space for the little ones to run around. They have a huge Olympic pool along with other pools. They also have a kid friendly pool. The water was too cold for me but my littles ones were still happy to go in the cold pool with their wetsuits for a short time. It would be great if you would consider to have at least one heated pool during your winter months especially for little ones. Overall, friendly and helpful staff from the receptionist, guest relations, chefs/managers in the restaurants areas, snack bar staff, cleaning staff, entertainment team - just all full of smiles and ready to be at your service. Thank you to you all for making us feel welcomed and we hope to visit again soon. Stay safe!

Great facilities; Great catering; Friendly staff

Likes: Staff are friendly and engaging. Animation team was excellent, not pushy, approachable, accommodating. Food/Buffets were excellent, clean and well presented. There was a variety of food everyday with an exceptional buffet on New Year's Eve 2021/22. Good layout. Excellent children entertainment areas. Good location. Bus number 3 takes you to Arrecife (West) or to Costa Teguise (East). You can access the Playa Bastian within 15 min walk, a more private beach that the main beach in Costa Teguise. Dislikes: 1. This may be applicable to most resorts, but it would have been good to have a heated pool as despite temps of 24C and sun all day round, the water temp was very cold (This was Last week of December; so may not be applicable in summer time). 2. Whilst the olympic pool is heated, and is on site, it is not part of the all inclusive package, requiring a supplemental payment of €3 per day, a lane booking, a compulsory cap, and only accessible for over 8 year olds. Most users appeared to be clubs/teams from outside the resort. So really, we didn't get to use it. The other pools (1 kids, 2 main ones - including one with a slide, and an adults only pool) were not heated, but were in good locations near the bar..etc.. 3. Would be good to have a bus from the hotel to the beach. I understand one existed, but due to Covid it was curtailed. 4. Reception could do with having more staff; particularly during busy times (check in and check out) when there were often long queues.
