San Agustin Beach Club

San AgustÌn Beach Club is an adults-focused hotel on the south east coast of Gran Canaria. The hotel is in a quiet area in the town of San AgustÌn and is set right on the sandy beach. It looks out over the Atlantic Ocean, with the mountainous landscape typical of the island rising behind it. The hotel's pool area has views over the sea and the beach, and is made up of two outdoor pools, both of which are heated, and a sun terrace. You can choose to relax in the whirlpool or sauna, or you could book yourself in for a massage to unwind further. On the other end of the spectrum, the hotel has a small and simple gym in case you want to squeeze in some exercise before a day at the beach. Gran Canaria is well known as a walkers' paradise, so if you feel like stretching your legs a little, you'll find hiking routes in the surrounding area or within driving distance. You could have a leisurely stroll along the coast or take a more strenuous trek into the mountainous interior. If you want to explore further afield, you can get on a bus from the stop a short walk from the hotel.

The hotel is close to the centre of San AgustÌn and is 400m from the town's shopping centre, where you can browse locally made products or try regional snacks. There's a bus stop 600m from the hotel, with a variety of routes to take you up and down the island. You could head into the bustling resort of Playa del Ingles. As one of Gran Canaria's social hubs, it has plenty of bars, restaurants and nightclubs. The island's capital, Las Palmas, is 25km away, where you can explore the history museums and local galleries or take a boat trip to neighbouring islands like Tenerife and Lanzarote.

There is a nice restaurant with outside seating, also two bars serving snacks.

Daily life at San AgustÌn Beach Club is centred around the pool and the beach. You can explore the local landscape on foot or on horseback.

The hotel has a large pool area with views of the beach and the sea.

All rooms at San AgustÌn Beach Club have air conditioning and local TV channels. Room service is available from mid-morning until late.

A credit card note of 150 euros is deducted upon arrival as a security deposit. The sum should be available throughout the stay. If you do not have a credit card, you can deposit the same amount in cash in euros.

Traditional hotel in a fantastic location

Feb 2020 | Steveandsusan2
Stayed for a week with the primary aims of relaxing and getting some winter sun. The location is ideal for both, next to an extensive sandy beach and with long walks possible along the promenade outside the hotel. Most rooms have impressive sea views. Rooms are clean and spacious with all the facilities you would expect although there was a very limited amount of tea and coffee available in the room which was not replenished unless you paid extra. In parts the decor is getting a little tired but we considered this part of the hotel’s character. The 2 pools and surrounding areas were well maintained and never overcrowded. As there are numerous restaurants nearby we only had breakfast at the hotel. Service was always prompt and polite. There was a wide range of food available on a buffet basis reflecting the range of different nationalities the hotel caters for. San Agustin is much quieter than the larger resorts further down the coast. The airport, Las Palmas and all of the coastal resorts can be accessed by the local buses that are cheap, efficient and mostly very new. When we arrived we were welcomed with a glass of Cava and on my birthday presented with a bottle of sparkling wine; nice touches! Definitely recommended if you want a relaxing break in a relatively small hotel with a beach location

Great hotel in a fab location

Hotel is literally a stone's throw from the beach. The double room with balcony and sea view was spacious and comfortable. Air-con very effective. All staff very helpful and courteous. Nice promenade runs for about 5 miles towards Maspalomas - great for walking or jogging. Best thing? - the food! Being a vegetarian can be a bit of a pain when looking for somewhere to have an evening meal abroad. The hotel couldn't have been more helpful - it was a set 5 course meal every evening i.e. no choice, but the standard and variety was fantastic with a veggie option for every course. Well worth it. The only negative thing to say about the hotel is the poor standard of gym equipment - 1 bike, 1 cross-trainer and 1 treadmill in a warm room with no air-con. Otherwise I would highly recommend the hotel and the resort

This is à very nice hotel for a great holiday.
