Not accessible at all for anyone with mobility issues which should be clearly stated!! Rooms very basic tho clean lovely views from the balcony and pool looked nice. Shop only had water and pop when it was open and the pool bar opened very late. Charges for a kettle etc. get what u pay for not very helpful

A place to stay

Arrived on 18th Feb in the evening (8pm) reception closed with a note on the door saying our room number and key in the door. We were located on bottom floor 124 so had to go down three flights of steps with all our cases to our room which wasn’t great. Room was basic but clean, furniture was old and worn but that didn’t really put us off. The view from the balcony was over looking the resort below ( nice at night when it was all lit up. ( can be noisy upto 3am from the disco bars but can’t really here it from the bedroom. The pool area was nice but the sunbeds didn’t move, you couldn’t lift or lower the headrest part so was stuck at flat. Didn’t eat from the small hut/bar that was on the premises so can’t really comment on that. Now for the worst part The STEPS. To get down to the resort you have to walk down many many steps it’s ok to walk down but a killer to get back up. I would suggest getting a taxi back up ( 3.5 euro) I did know there were steps at the resort but didn’t realise that they were so steep or I don’t think I would have booked Solana. The resort itself- lots of bars and restaurants to suit all budgets - for example we paid 4.99 euro for a full English breakfast at Delilah’s it was lovely and the ladies serving were delightful. Also ate at Bubbles had chicken in mushroom sauce with salad and chips and then chicken fajitas another night which were both really tasty. We also ordered a takeaway curry from delhi dobar and had it delivered to apartment that was amazing ( the restaurant itself is in the main shopping centre. We paid on average 38 euro for starters mains and drinks for 2 There is a McDonald’s too in the resort which is quite handy for lunch. The beach was lovely but can get very overcrowded ( we paid 7 euro for 2 sun beds to hire. You can get a boat to Mogan which cost 14 euro return each but you can also get the local bus which cost 3.05 euro return each ( no brainer which one we chose) the bus station is just by the park and you can get buses to everywhere. We took a bus to Maspalomas for 6 euro each return. Overall Puerto Rico is very nice and clean and the locals are Friendly. It was a cheap getaway In Feb and the weather was around 26’ degrees some days which was great. Would I stay at solana again … I would if it wasn’t up so many steps.

Second stay the apartments are basic but location is great. Rooms were clean pool areas etc clean. Staff we met were very nice. It’s not luxurious but it’s decent. Rooms that overlook the centre are noisy but would still stay again cheap cheerful and spot on for price and location
