Situated in the northern side of Playa del Inglés, between the popular Avenida Tirajana and Avenida Gran Canaria. The closest sandy beach, reachable with convenient public transport links, is located approximately 2 km from the premises. There are also a number of shopping centres and entertainment sites located at around 800 m. The airport can be reached within a 20-minute ride. If guests prefer, they can have a delicious meal in the onsite restaurant or a couple of drinks in the pool bar. The outdoor pool area is perfect to sunbathe or have a refreshing swim. The rooms come with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable and unforgettable stay.

Refurbishment in some rooms be warned

The room sizes are amazing was only expecting a little tiny room with toilet. Internet is only free in lobby and even when you do pay its not the best service, Towels for pool are €10 deposits which you get back once towel is returned. Now some of the down sides to this hotel. They are refurbishing some on the rooms so if you are near these room (401-406) be warned. We was woken up several times in the morning from the banging and drilling from the workmen. So if you are expecting a nice relaxing layin or a afternoon nap don't expect it, we was above one of the rooms being refurbished. The lifts are very old and can only hold 4 people max. We got stuck in lift for 10min even with the correct amount of people in so I would say with luggage only go in with 2 people. Staying here you get the use of the property across the road which has a nicer pool and evening entertainment is also located here. But the sections which are meant to be smoking/non smoking do not exist and it was free for all which if you are a non smoker it can be rather frustrating. Food was nice and cocktails mighty strong

Family of 4 (2 adults and 2 adult children) staying in 2 rooms in The rondo We spent most of our time in the Miraflor, which is essentially an extension of the hotel, simply because the pool was better and there was little to no atmosphere at the rondo Positives Clean, no issues with sun beds, really comfy beds, really large rooms, lots of storage space for clothes, Worth booking in for the grill over in the Miraflor The white wine was lovely I brought a couple of issues up and they were resolved quickly Bus service to beach available (we didn’t use) Coffee was really delicious 7up free on tap, so glad of this as I am diabetic. Negatives Most drinks are absolutely awful. The vodka tastes like hand sanitiser, very limited choice of drinks on All inclusive. You can pick from 3 cocktails which taste awful, I definitely wouldn’t recommend going AI. Not worth it at all. Cards for room doors keep stop working. Food is very poor and all the other reviews about the temp is spot on. Nothing is hot, I mean nothing. It’s luke warm at best. The quality of the food is extremely low The paper cups you get for drinks are useless Building work going on at one end of the hotel. Not enough staff on the Miraflor bar.

We believe this was our 8th or 9th stay at this Hotel and we love it. We always stay all inclusive as it is such good value for money. I would like to point out, the Rondo is not an all singing all dancing all inclusive with a buffet the size of the hotel itself but what they do they do great and you are never going to go hungry. Breakfast is always my favourite and there is a good selection of food. Lunch and dinner most dishes are very good indeed and we love the Canarian night on a Friday. The grill across the road in the adjoining Miraflor is also very very good, I had a lovely steak. The drinks are fine with the AI package, so much so, I have come home to detox. What I really like is the serve yourself coffee machine available 24/7 and the little pastries from 3pm - 5pm for AI guests My one complaint is the AI wine from the machines, the red wine is freezing cold and not very tasty, please can this be reviewed :o) We return to this hotel for a few reasons; You never get sunbed wars, the hotel is always clean and comfortable, you are made to feel welcome, it is in a very central location and for the friendliness of the staff. The staff make this hotel. The reception team are always smiling and willing to help, the waiters and waitresses are so friendly. Jose is so funny but out favourite has to be Gian but please put him back over at the Miraflor bar and grill aside from the two nights he does. He is the best man for the job over there. The Miraflor is where the main entertainment is and along with a very busy bar which he handles and copes with amazingly, he claps along, gets people up dancing but only when there is not a queue for the bar and people love him over there. It is a different story when Gian is not there. We went over the Miraflor one night when Gian was at the Rondo pool bar and we walked away back to the Rondo as no one was serving at all, the barman on that night simply went off for a coffee and a smoke leaving about 7 of us stood at the bar. Needless to say we went back to Gian at the other bar. There was a complaint that Gian left the bar to dance leaving a queue. This is not true and people need to see he is truly a great all round barman who likes to keep the guests happy. All in all, we will continue to visit this hotel for hopefully years to come, it is a true little gem in the middle of a busy resort.
