Dunagolf Bungalows is made up of more than a hundred bungalows spread over a large garden in the Campo Internacional area of Maspalomas, a seaside resort in the south of Gran Canaria. The hotel is set beside Maspalomas Golf Club, a short drive from the beach. It's in a quiet area but within a short drive of the major attractions in this corner of the island. The hotel has its own restaurant, and each bungalow has a kitchenette so you can prepare your own meals during your stay. There's a pool area with a sun terrace, one main swimming pool, one kids' pool and a pool bar. There's also a whirlpool at the hotel. If you're feeling active and want some friendly competition, you can make use of the tennis court. Within the resort of Maspalomas there's a variety of bars and restaurants, including an Irish bar, and plenty of tourist attractions to suit all ages. It's home to Holiday World Maspalomas, an amusement park with rides, arcades, restaurants, bars and a nightclub. There's also Aqualand, which has waterslides, chutes and a bubble pool. If you'd like to stay a little closer to the hotel, the local golf course is right next door.

The nearest beach, Dunas de Maspalomas, is 3km from Dunagolf Bungalows, across the sand dunes. If you fancy venturing further along the coast of the island, you'll find Sioux City Park, a replica of a Wild West town, with saloons, cowboy shows and outdoor BBQs. Sioux City Park is a short drive from the hotel. Also a short drive from the hotel (3.5km) is the Yumbo Centrum shopping centre. This is a massive complex that has more than 200 shops, bars, cafés and restaurants, as well as a lively nightlife scene.

The hotel restaurant opens for breakfast, lunch and dinner, while drinks, snacks and light dishes are available from the pool bar. You'll also have a wide choice of both local and international cuisines to choose from in Maspalomas. You might like to try mojo picón, a spicy sauce that's popular in the Canary Islands.

The kids' swimming pool is heated, and children can have fun and make friends in the playground. There's also a pool table at the hotel.

Marvellous Dunagolf

Fantastic relaxing week in Maspalomas and in particular Dunagolf. Lovely, clean and relaxing spot. Initially we thoughtit was a little remote from the town, but only €5 in a taxi. All recently modernised, the apartments and grounds and public areas are of a high standard. Best of all here are the staff who honestly couldnt be more friendly and helpful, in particular the lovely Pep, who was great, and nothing too much trouble. Tbe breakfasts were great. Lots to choose from the buffet, and if you want a fresh omlette made, not a problem. The restaurant was ok if you fancieda quiet night at the resort, and again the food decent. All in all a great week and well done to the staff at Dunagolf. We stayed in apt 56 with a roof solarium, but spent most time at the pool. We would definitely be back and highly recommend Dunagolf

Great 3 star resort, but its not a 4 star

On first impressions, the hotel looked great ... However, sadly this hotel is not a truly four-star hotel, a decent three-star at a push, simply because it lacks attention to detail, in areas such as food, drinks and service let the resort down from being 4 stars. The hotel is very nice, although if you go with the expectation of a high-end 4-star report, you'll sadly be disappointed. Although it's an excellent 3-star. Food was hit and miss, and was very basic, with the same food being served daily, especially at breakfast. Coffee came from the self-service machine. A large portion of the food was processed, and very little was a fresh product for breakfast. on the plus real bacon, and eggs could be catered for your own preference The food presentation wasn't the best, and it felt very much like a school canteen. - although the food served at the pool bar was good, and the food at the restaurant seemed much better, the half board option, felt more like a school canteen. 15 euros per person for all-you-can-eat style, or you also have the option of choosing from the menu at the restaurant.. the bar food, and food from the restaurant were good quality, just lacked presentation, and the service wasn't 4-star standard. The service was poor, and drinks and cocktails were all basic and lacked attention to detail, and presentation, was not 4-star quality, but okay for 3 stars. The grounds are nice, and the gardens are well kept, but sadly the lawns are plastic (90%) which made it appear tacky and cheap, and a quick fix to hiding defects The room: the kitchen is poor for self-catering, pointless really. one small bin which again is pointless, and lacks space for preparing food. The room came with Kettle, one hot plate, a microwave, 2 plates. 2 cups, 2 forks, 2 knives, 2 spoons, and a coffee machine although, in this day and age, you would expect a coffee pod machine, including a range of coffee pods for a 4-star hotel. There is no onsite mini market and the nearest is a 15-minute walk away, there is one outside the hotel, but hardly sells anything other than snacks and drinks. The website states free water daily, but this was never replaced after arrival, again something that would be standard at any other 4-star hotel. The hotel is aimed more at German guests, and all channels were German, French or Spanish... no English channels, not even BBC news ... The TV isn't a smart Television and there was no option to log into Netflix and other streaming The shower gets water all over the floor, which works its way into the kitchen area. There is no shower mat and the floor becomes a health and safety issue. However the water pressure is very good, and there was always hot water. The shower gel was cheap, you would expect more from a 4-star hotel. Cleaning occurred every 2 days, and this itself was very basic. The cleaners just tend to give the floor a quick mop, once dry the dirt or sand is still there. There were marks on the walls. door frames and tiles where previous guests had killed bugs. A brush including a mop need to be added to the rooms And I also notice stains on the duvet, as though they hadn't been changed by the previous guests. If you leave the bathroom door open, guests on the opposite side can see straight into your room. The gym is nice but again basic and lacks equipment The bar closed at 10 pm Mini bar: No Hair dryer: Yes Smart Television: No English Channels: No Card entry into rooms The room had two USB ports in the living room area Pool towels were 5 euros deposit per day which I found odd for a 4-star hotel No room service and drinks or food could not be charged to the room The website states the pool is heated, however, the water was very cold to swim in and wasn't heated. Plus there was no waiter service around the pool, which I would expect as standard from a 4-star hotel. The rooms are nice, fresh and airy with high ceilings and all rooms have recently been updated.

Such bad service

I would love to tell you that i had the best holiday ever, however with a week to my arrival on the 05.10.22 i contacted the hotel with a question regarding my stay. They replied to me that the apartment that i booked in November 2021 was now no longer available, i was informed that they had received a large group booking and had cancelled my stay. The lady that i contacted told me that this was normal SOPs, i wonder if i hadn't e-mailed them would i have turned up at reception with no apartment available for me. Please consider my story when looking at this hotel.
