Bansko – Weather
Bansko is a stunning ski resort with great hiking trails and fantastic safari options to keep you entertained in the summer. Located in the southwest of Bulgaria, Bansko is settled in the foothills of the striking Pirin Mountains. Bansko weather is very hot in the summer with cold, snowy winters.
If you’re visiting for the best skiing conditions, you can arrive anytime from December to March. Most of the snowfall occurs during this season, giving you the best snowy slopes to ride on. Temperatures in Bansko in the winter can fall as low as -20°C on the highest peaks with an overall average temperature of 0°C.
When spring arrives, temperatures rise to the mid-teens and continue to increase to highs of 32°C in July and August. The warm weather is due to mild air rising from the Aegean Sea, giving you the perfect conditions to soak up the sun and enjoy your time in Bansko.
There isn’t much rain in the summer but it begins to rise in October with a monthly average of 32mm. Weather in Bansko in autumn is fairly pleasant but you should prepare for lower temperatures than the summer with the occasional snowfall towards the end of November.
