I'm in love with The Pand Hotel!!!
I was blown away by the old world European charm, character, and beauty of this magnificent boutique hotel. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathrooms were modern (while retaining their charm) and clean, and the service by the staff was wonderful. My only regret was that I planned a one night stay. I can't wait to visit this lovely fairy-tale town again, and will definitely return to The Pand.
Five Star Stay!
The Pand Hotel was the best part of our trip. This boutique hotel is quite charming with beautiful antiques, lovely staff and fantastic breakfast. We thought it all wonderfully decorated including antique furnishings and seasonal Christmas decor. Everyone we encountered was happy and accommodating. We had a junior sweet that was spacious and comfortable. The bed, robe and linens were luxurious. Breakfast including eggs, bacon & Champagne was a delight. The lady and gentleman running the breakfast service were an absolute joy! We also enjoyed the bar area before and after dinner / sometimes after lunch too! I highly recommend the gin & tonic with cucumbers and peppercorns? frozen into to ice cubes. The location itself is perfect, just a few steps away from the major attractions but far enough to escape the sounds of the city - 5 minute cab ride to the train station. Rightfully one of the top 100 luxury hotels in the world!
Lovely little hotel!
My wife and I recently spent 2 nights at the hotel. We were a bit apprehensive as the last few reviews haven’t been that great but I think these reviewers need to give their head a wobble! The hotel is nicely decorated and in keeping with the style of the city, if that makes sense. If you want a contemporary and modern style hotel look elsewhere - but if you want a place with character and is quirky then book here. It’s easy to drive to, is VERY close to the city centre and does have parking if you reserve. It costs about £25 a night, which I believe is cheaper than some other places locally. We didn’t book breakfast so can’t comment on that aspect but were offered a cheap upgrade to a suite which we took. It had a 4 poster bed, bath and shower, sofa and tea & coffee facilities. The staff were very friendly and accommodating too.
