Currently staying here in villa 3 The good , location and views are exceptional , pool is excellent apart from the point below villa is generally excellent and we are looking to probably book the the 4 bed villa later in the year as the 3 bed has a couple of failings The not so good given it is early in the season very disappointing to see the terrace furniture in such a poor state of repair (pictures attached) and also many loose tiles in the pool, I would also question the design of the bathrooms but that is a minor point The above has detracted somewhat as we thought we were coming to fairly premium accommodation. But overall an excellent place to be

Returned to this hotel with friend in sept but decided to stay in the bungalows. On arrival upgraded to one of the villas overlooking the harbour. Unbelievable !! Felt like we had won the lottery. Than you so much . See you next year

Very disappointed

We are staying in the Villas del Lago with TUI right next to the building site. We were not told about the building work! It is terrible, diggers breaking up rocks, noise and dust. At least Thomas Cook and Jet2.com have written to their clients before departure as per ABTA rules. The rep has offered us £303.01 back in compensation but that’s not good enough bearing in mind our autistic daughter is in her room with music on as she can’t cope with the building noise. The only time she would come outside was during siesta when the work ceased. This holiday was over £3500 for the week We will be reporting TUI to ABTA as they should have given us the opportunity to cancel without penalty. The villa itself is in a great position if you ignore the noise. The building work starts at 0800 and then you have the noise from the restaurant moving chairs etc until very late. On arrival in the villa it smelt terrible of damp, the sun canopy was out of service and hanging down dangerously. They refused to repair it and just tied it up and provided a normal umbrella. Both toilet doors would not close without significant force, this was reported both to reception and the TUI rep but this has still not been fixed. The linen was blood stained, stains on the uncomfortable sofas, cushions and chairs. The Terrace was full of weeds, the patio door would not lock however they fixed this after two days. Bathroom window mouldy with trapped water inside. Lack of kitchen pots and pans, no tin opener. No instructions how to operate anything and the staff struggled with knowledge . He didn’t know where the villas were or how the keys worked etc. The umbrella on the pool terrace snapped at the base and fell on my disabled wife causing bruising. The pool has not been cleaned during our entire stay and has green algae on the sides and bottom. The outdoor terrace was not cleaned during the stay and bird muck was everywhere. The maids ignored it even when we pointed it out. We had to flag down a TUI rep in the street but he did not know where the villas were even though it was his responsibility. Very let down!
