Not The Best!!!
First impressions count & we didn't get off to the best start when we arrived at 2.30am the female receptionist was very unpleasant & rude. However should note that there was a cold selection buffet laid out in the dining room for late arrivals & beer & wine on tap which was a nice touch. We were in block 2 across the road from the main hotel, nice entrance way & the lift worked perfectly however we had requested a pool or sea view room & got neither our view was on the street directly facing the main hotel. The room wasn't very big & still had woodchip wallpaper on the walls with old fashioned wooden window frames & balcony door. The balcony was tiny. The AC didn't work properly & was very noisy. However the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was so small that when you walked in you had to side shuffle to shut the door, half size bath with about 20 inches available to step into the half sized bath/shower as the shower screen had been put against the sink and didn't open or close, it was treacherous. The shower wasn't great & the hair dryer didn't work. No fridge or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The main downside to our stay was the rudeness of the reception staff, one blonde female in particular who just did not want to help at all & her answer to everything was to shrug her shoulders, even when we requested an upgraded room which we were happy to pay for but were told it wouldn't be possible. I complained re the broken hairdryer & was told it would be fixed however 2 days later still wasn't working she did send a workman over immediately at that point to install a new one & a bonus was that he also fixed the air conditioning without being asked which was a pleasant surprise. The AI food menu wasn't great the choice was very basic but the salad was very good with lots of choice. Not enough seats in the dining room and each night there were large queues for the dining room. The pool area was very small in both main hotel & block 2 with nowhere near enough sunbeds and the pool needed work as there were missing tiles etc however the ramp into the pool was fantastic & perfect for disabled guests. Contrary to what I'd been told there were no limits with the AI drinks & we were able to order from 10am to 11pm with no limits you do however have to pay on euro for each plastic glass. I wouldn't go back to this hotel as everything was geared towards the German guests & the actual resort was very German orientated with entertainment at the Blueside bar attached to the hotel totally focused on German we listened to their show every evening from our balcony & in 7 nights we heard 4 songs in English, but I have booked with Bluesea in Majorca for September at a different hotel & resort so hopefully will be much better
You get what you pay for :)
+ a really good location ! a 2 minute walk to the beach and the hotel is surrounded by many shops, bars and restaurants. some members of staff were really lovely and helpful. unlimited alcoholic drinks until 11pm. food was never limited for choice and the chefs were really kind. elena’s pool entertainment was really enjoyable. - rooms were smaller than expected. aircon barely worked. room used to hold bags didn’t have a lock. were given the wrong wristbands on arrival. snacks available throughout the day for all inclusive was very limited and you weren’t able to get drinks from the restaurant out of breakfast, lunch and dinner times. there aren’t many sunbeds so it’s first come first serve. room didn’t have a mini fridge so weren’t able to keep drinks cool which didn’t help in the heat. overall, I would recommend this hotel mainly for the location due to it being really near to the beach as well as restaurants and shops. If you aren’t planning to leave the hotel then the food can become quite repetitive and there is no entertainment in the evenings.
Great hotel
Having read some of the negative reviews on here I was a bit worried but had a lovely holiday. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was clean, there is good air con in rooms and pools were great. The food is ok, good selection although did get a bit repetitive. Bar had a good selection of drinks. Would visit again.
