Excellent helpful, trustworthy hotel

Stayed at the end of September with a couple of friends and couldn't recommend this hotel enough. When looking for hotels in the San Antonio Bay area we found a lot of reviews having issues with robberies etc and decided on booking Tagomago as it sounded very family run and safe. The hotel itself has an older classical feel to it with a nice pool area and views out across the bay, we had a massive balcony overlooking San Antonio and there is a fantastic water taxi outside that will take you across to the west end for 4 euro which is well worth using. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating with so many things, first night got locked out and let back in no problem, one mate ended up losing his phone when out and the staff ended up calling it for ages in Spanish to whoever had it and successfully got them to bring it back to the hotel for him. Another friend left money out unattended in his room but was all there and untouched after his room had been cleaned. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in San Antonio whilst wanting something a little more safer and low key than the typical party hotels and will look to go back next year

After a two year break due to Covid we returned to this hotel. This was a late season October break before their winter closure. But, such an excellent stay. A lovely welcome from Luis, the owner, and Christina his sidekick. The rooms are basic but very clean and comfortable and some with a lovely view over San Antonio Bay. The restaurant was good….it’s now excellent! Congratulations. The Wi-Fi is generally very good. What a lovely hotel. Comfortable in all respects.

I visited with a group of friends last month the hotel was lovely and we had a nice stay, however I have been trying to contact the hotel since we returned 3 weeks ago and am finding it difficult to speak to the manager or even get a call back to discuss the return of the deposit which is disappointing as we had a really good experience otherwise
