Paradise. Resort was amazing, food choices and quality was outstanding, room was beautiful opening onto the beach. Range of water sports and activities was fantastic. Staff and management were so helpful, felt like you were staying with family.

Awesome Experience

Just spent 4 days at Curtain bluff. Wonderful experience. Great beach location, great accommodations, fabulous all inclusive food and beverage, great staff. Great value. We would love to go back again.

Waste of time and money!

I felt compelled to write this review having never set up or posted a review on trip advisor. I cannot believe how it can be that so many have posted 5 star reviews on here? I can only assume that these people have never stayed in a 5 star resort before. As if they have they would easily identify all the issues that makes this hotel a firm 3 star resort. Firstly, there is no beach service. If you want a drink you have to get up and get it yourself. Towels are not changed at all. I witnessed an elderly gentleman struggling to move his own sun lounger and falling backwards onto the sand and still no assistance. Shocking! The food is average at best. The lunchtime buffet is pretty repetitive with tuna and swordfish on a constant rotation on the menu. There is a specials menu but it must be a guarded secret as no one ever mentioned it to me until my last day at the resort? The service is laboured and I would have to agree with all the 1,2,3 star reviews. They just can’t cope with the number of guests at the resort. Which is comical as the resort is tiny. The main beach by sea grape is well Maintained and is clean and the weather is sublime. However, there are just too many issues and management seem to be either oblivious to it or just don’t care? I would have to think the latter as they don’t seem to interact at all with guests except a passing smile if you happen to pass them. Constantly, we were waiting and waiting to be served at the main bar by tamarind restaurant. The staff look half asleep, they are over worked and quite rude. The menu at tamarind is pretty dull and the food Is served on cold plates. Service is slow again. Seems to be the theme of the resort. We have stayed in many Caribbean hotels and this one by far could do with a major shake up. The other beach is beautiful but there is just no service whatsoever? No towels? No staff serving drinks? Nothing. Except a security guard who tells you not to walk to far as their are stray dogs everywhere. I was shocked at the state of the room when we arrived. At these prices you don’t expect to Be cleaning your cupboards yourself. I found a dead wasp in the wardrobe. Lots of dust on the clothes that I put on the shelf. Everything is dated but not in a charming way. But in a Badly in need of a refurbishment way. We love the Caribbean style and appreciate it charm however, the service and the quality of rooms are both badly in need of a major overhaul. Unfortunately, not all guests are treated equal, request a refurbished room. Rooms on the bluff are very nice, but the living area downstairs is open to the elements and if you have kids with you then be prepared to have their beds brought into your own bedroom as it’s just not safe in my opinion to leave them downstairs. I also agree, the walls are paper thin and you can clearly hear outside your room and your neighbours room. Very disappointed by the standard of food, service and I feel that at these prices their are far better options than CB! Wouldn’t come back! Hotel were aware of our issues but clearly disregarded as their was no changes made whilst we where there.
