We were disappointed by the inept and blase attitude of the man who met us at reception, who was (presumably) the manager. To make matters worse we were then charged £35 for air conditioning, which was not something we had expected or budgeted for. (Nor had others - we discovered at our Welcome Meeting) Our room was in the eaves - dark and nowhere to hang our clothes. No hand towels and nowhere to hang wet towels in the bathroom. A leaking shower. Breakfast was okay, but repetative after a week and was removed at 10am on the dot! Need I say more?

Olu Deniz A great purpose built resort. We had b&b therefore ate out at the various restaurants each eve. Every meal we ate was first class. This was our 2nd visit to OD so although I am of pensionable age we had to have a go at Paragliding from approx 6000 ft FANTASTIC. The Magic Tulip Beach hotel was OK but the room we were given on arrival had mould on the walls this was totally Unacceptable and the manager gave us another room. I would go again but I would make sure beforehand not to get a basement type room. The staff were very good but as it was getting towards the end of season they are little tired'

We have travelled extensively throughout Turkey, but this was our first stay in Olu Deniz. This is a beautiful area with stunning scenery, however the resort itself was very disappointing. It is one of the most commercial places we have ever visited (equalled only by Marmaris). This is because there was never a village here; the resort has grown up over the last twenty years or so, purely because of the lovely beach. Therefore there is no Turkish character - you could be in any noisy Mediterranean tourist area, jam packed with bars and restaurants. The hotel is fine in every way but one - the huge downside is that they put the music on at breakfast and don't turn it off till 1.30am, gradually becoming louder and louder ! I could understand it if they were having a party night, or if a lot of people were in the bar, but by late evening there were only ever a few people there (because it was just too loud ?!). As our room was directly behind the bar, which was completely open at the back, we had no chance of going to sleep before it closed. Therefore, sadly we would not consider staying there ever again.
