Myself (29) and girlfriend (26) have just returned from Paloma foresta Resort and Spa and felt an honest review was needed. We stayed at Paloma for one week starting May the 13th 2018 booked with Thomas cook. Having taken private transport to the hotel as opposed to the long winded hotel hop stop thomas cook provide, we we're met with joy by the helpful and friendly bell boy, who along with reception efficiently checked us in, before being shown to our room. Our room located on the first floor of the main building (room 147) was beautiful, clean, spacious and accommodating, consisting of a lounge area with sofa and television, bathroom with walk in shower and main bedroom with super king size bed and terrace balcony. The bedrooms offered ample living space, however wardrobe storage was limited. The terrace balcony was the size of a small garden, laid with artificial grass, looking out onto the green landscaped gardens, with sun struck mountains in the back ground. The balcony offered two sun loungers and table although only one chair which didn't cause us a problem. Our room was cleaned to a high standard daily with fresh linen, towels and mini bar restocked with beer, water, tea coffee and soft drinks at no extra cost. Also provided was spa gowns and slippers which offered that nice additional touch. The hotel itself has five pools one indoor pool, an adults only pool set in a quiet area near the main building. The main pool was a good size consisting of a separate section for smaller children, with three slides and lovely tiki style bar. The pool was always manned by lifeguards, whilst the non invasive entertainment team put on various activities throughout the day. There's also a private pool for those staying in the villas. The advertised long shingle beach offers lots of space with an ample amount of sun loungers and is again manned by lifeguards throughout the day. There are two piers stretching out to sea dotted with loungers. Set back from the beach are an array of cabanas where you are provided waiter service, however at fifty euros, we felt this was not value for money, given the menu was the same as the beach bar, which was no more then a 100 metre stroll away. There are some large rocks on entering the water so beach shoes may be advisable however we never had any problems. The hotel offers four bars, the shamrock Irish bar which although looks like a traditional English pub only has carling on tap as an addition to the hotels varse drinks menu. During low season this bar is also used to host the evenings entertainment, however becomes very cramped during busy times. The best bar in my mind was the piano be amazing bar, open 24 hours with a lovely outdoor space to sit back and relax. The staff at the be amazing bar we're a cut above the rest, Kamil's (Mr perfect's) knowledge of cocktails is that of a top bartender. I feel the management need to acknowledge Kamils skills behind the bar and have him train all bartenders across the resort. We where always met with a happy friendly and bubbly Kamil who really made our holiday perfect. There was also the pool bar and beach bar all offering the same menu. Food, the one question on everybody's mind, I've read many review on the food at Paloma foresta resort and spa and feel this is the only area in which the hotel is not meeting it's five star rating. The main restaurant always had a theme on an evening, however was very repetitive and often had the same dishes during the day as they did on an evening. However given the price we paid and the array of food on offer we always found something to eat, but is defiantly something the management need to improve. The beach snack bar was definitely the best with waiter service offering wraps, burgers, pizzas and salads all made fresh to order. There are little snack areas throughout the resort offering fresh fruit and cheesy flat breads so you'll never go hungry. We booked one ala carte restaurant which was amazing value for money at just €15 euros we had a seven course meal which included a T bone steak, cooked to perfection. Other guests had said they'd struggled to book the ala carte through the automated system, however we visited the concierge at reception and booked a date with ease. The hotel itself is beautiful and the grounds staff do an absolutely amazing job maintaining it, there's also a little herb plot which we sore a chef picking for that evenings menu. Entertainment, the entertainment team tried there best to facilitate the needs of everyone and a sterling job they did indeed, Mustafa and Sefa kept guests entertained day and night. During our stay the resort opened its amphitheatre for the summer season and put on a very talented and impressive circus show. The entertainment team also opened the sunset bar at the end of our stay which had a live band, it was a shame this had not been opened earlier, as an evening by the sea with live music is always a memorable experience. Staff, as already mentioned all the staff worked very hard and couldn't do enough for you. I do however have to acknowledge a couple of staff members who came to our attention as a cut above the rest. - Sefa (entertainment team) was an amazingly hard working young man who had so much energy and charisma, he interacted with guests in a fun professional manner whom we enjoyed talking to throughout our stay. - Kamil (be amazing bar) as mentioned above Kamil was defiantly one of the friendliest, happy professional bartender I've met. His knowledge, and hardworking attitude was great to see, he truly loved his job even on his birthday!! and we look forward to seeing him again. - Suat (trainee) this young man was always running around trying his best to learn as much as he could and was genuinely interested in his job, and always had a smile. - cengiz (beach snack bar waiter) cengiz was constantly running around doing whatever he could for guests his happy accommodating attitude was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed going to see him every day. Additional facilities, the spa was highly professional and offered a great service however prices did vary dependant on your haggling skills and who you spoke to. The hotel also offers WIFI throughout the hotel, even on the beach free of charge. There is also tennis courts, ping pong and a teens room with computers and pool tables. Late check out: we had been disappointed by the receptions professionalism to this, as we had asked from day one for late check out and had followed there instructions. The day before we had been due to leave we contacted reception (as instructed) and informed late check out should be possible at a cost of €40 euros which I feel is reasonable however on the day of check out, we contacted reception again and was told it would be €65 euros with no negotiation, we reiterated the previous days conversation, however we're quickly shot down and had to check out at midday with our flight departing at 0200. We approached reception at the end of the day to find somewhere to shower and change however every area we had been told to go to was closed so ended up changing in the main building toilets which leaves a bit of a sour taste in your mouth. Overall this hotel is doing so much right. Although with improvements to food this place could really become a cut above the rest, we look forward to returning next year and hope the management acknowledge some of the points raised. Hope this helps and you enjoy your holiday.

The hotel and grounds are fab. Staff really helpful and friendly. They dealt with most of our issues. One especially with our room which was very noisy due to some vibrations from outside . The manager dealt with our concern seriously and after two nights as it was the Easter bank holiday we were upgraded to a villa. Which for us, a family with two kids and a one year old was brilliant. However we were not too pleased with the advertised games on offer by Thomas Cook and what the hotel actually provided us. On the web site it said Tennis was available but every time we went there was no one to help us. Also there was supposed to be canoeing from April which again was unavailable. We also found there was a lot of queuing up at supper time. I think it might have been because of the layout of the dining room. Also we were unable to book the restaurants because incorrect information was relayed to us. Apart from these problems it was a pleasant stay the grounds were peaceful for walking and there were enough quiet spots to relax in, if that is what you enjoy. The water slides were a winner. Also the kids club was hard to find as we thought it was outside. But we did find the lovely play ground. The villa and hotel grounds was very clean. My girls loved the rabbit hutch. We really enjoyed lunch time outside. If you were to ask whether I would return to this hotel ? the answer would be no, but that is mainly because of the area and what excursions were on offer. Would i recommend to a friend? maybe :)

We have just come back from a fantastic week here. Our room was lovely. The view was of trees and the mountain but we hardly spent any time in there! Staff were fantastic and made our trip especially the Animation staff (Cem and Mehmet), the barman at the sunset bar and Feema in the restaurant. Entertainment was good and varied, the sports activities were good and the beaches/pools clean although we thought there were pedalos and canoes available; classes were good when you could attend but you needed 2+ people which unfortunately was rare. Food was beautiful but the buffet let the place down by always being lukewarm. A la carte restaurants were outstanding and 5* but impossible to get in to. We loved seeing the cats around the resort! We would consider going back again though!
