Early Escape from the Winter Blues
We stayed at this hotel in early March 2012. On arrival it was pouring down with rain but the very next day the sun was out and everything looked bright and clean. Our room was really comfortable and although a little dated, clean and in good order. The food was excellent with lots of choice for the various nationalites of clients. The pool area and pool itself was spotless and as it was very early in the season the indoor pool was a great retreat in the afternoon when the sun was going down and the temperature was cooler. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was easy to get out and about with cheap taxis available just outside the hotel. There was also a lovely little restaurant just outside if you wanted a change from the All Inclusive. Would highly recommend this hotel, by they way we made friends with a lovely couple as inb the dining room you are allocated a table to share, well done what a good way of getting to know people whilst sharing a meal. Definately will be revisiting.

Hotel's location is good because is not far from town centre. Rooms are basics but clean but food is something else!!!! I have never eaten anything worst than Dar Khayam's food. For 11 nights I stayed there I didn't eat much because there wasn't much to choose from. Service wasn't really good either very basics, we were told we can have internet access in the lobe but internet was soooooo slow that wasn't working at all but what can you expect from 3star hotel.

DO NOT GO - not British 3*
I decided to go in December for some summer sun. Okay, the weather wasn't that great, but I thought I'd make the best of it. Hot in the day, cold at night. Got there in the middle of the day, checked in and went to my bungalow with the sea view. Only problem was, the room was freezing! I turned on the heating on, but it didn't work. That night the heating came on, but it didn't warm the room. I got only 2 hours sleep - the room was that cold! Had pj's, tracksuit and jumper on. Went to complain the next day and they changed my room to inside the main building - same thing. Then I spoke to the manager who explained it was on a timer from 6pm to 1am. I asked if he could be flexible as temperatures at night were as cold as England. He moved me to another room. This actually had heat all day and night. Was the timer thing a lie? Food was of an acceptable standard, lots of fruit and salads, and good desserts. Very good presentation. Meat was questionable. Staff were very well trained and courteous. Spoke excellent English as well as French, German and Arabic. Entertainment was funny, excellent and sometimes downright extraordinary. Lots of men dressing up as women, which was strange for a muslim country. Need to add here, watch yourself going out if you are female - men like to grab you at the markets. If you are a couple they will ask your husband to sell you for 5 camels, and they are not joking. Even going to the souvenir shop across the road as a lone female will give you lots of attention from the cab drivers. Be careful of the Bureau de Change across the road, they try to steal your pounds by saying you didn't actually give them the money to change. Stick to the one in the hotel. The ATM is a good 20 minute walk away, be prepared for a trek, and for cafe and shop owners to hassle you. Back to the hotel. There is no wifi as advertised and if you do connect, it is dreadfully slow. There is one computer in the lobby, but it is just as slow. Gym was adequate, but everything worked. Spa and holistic treatments were extra money, but had good reviews from other holiday makers. Bar was open all day from 10am -12 midnight. Some spirits were watered down, and brandy was mixed with peach schnapps? Beer was excellent as were the cocktails. To be quite frank the people that were on the trip made the trip enjoyable not the quality of the hotel. Only 3 English channels, NBC, Fox and BBC World News, and some rooms only got 1. Would not recommend this hotel and would even go as far to say the 3* should be down graded to a 2*.

You get what you pay for.
First impressions of the hotel were pretty good. Hotel foyer was very clean and tidy. When we were escorted to our room, it was basic but everything you could need really. We did have a few minor issues with the room (a/c not working properly and balcony door not locking) but once these were reported to the main reception, they were rectified very promptly. The food was quite disappointing. Keeping in mind we went all inclusive, the variety was very limited. I know there can be repetition with all inclusive, it seemed like I was eating the same thing every day. But it was all edible.
The entertainments team worked very hard. Whilst the entertainment wasn't outstanding, you can tell the team work very hard to provide a service and keep the guests entertained.
All in all a good holiday and very fair for the price we payed. Don't be expecting 5 star luxury as you will be disappointed but I do think a 3 star rating is fair.
