Just arrived home from Fanabe Costa Sur in Tenerife. As we haven't been on holiday for 7 years abroad I didn't know what to expect but it was a great hotel, good accommodation and was very impressed. Good: - Hotel itself was clean, tidy and professional. - 24 hour helpful service from reception. - Entertainment was good - Lots of activities at all times available for all ages. - Staff were kind and helpful. - Rooftop had great views and two pools plus bar. - Variety of food to an excellent standard. - Safiety deposit box. - Local shops and bars right on the doorstep. - Beach only five minute walk. Bad: Overall great but a few suggestions - Bath towels small could be bigger. - Room numbers confusing. - Rooms a bit dated. - Wifi bit slow (being a bit picky here) Overall a great family holiday and a break. Fantastic island with lots to do. I was pleasantly surprised and would recommend to anyone considering to go. Definitely want to go again.

My wife and I first stayed at the Fanabe in April 2016 which we thoroughly enjoyed. The following June we saw a fantastic offer for the hotel in April 2017 which based on our previous experience was just to good to miss so we immediately booked it. We arrived and were given a room just a few doors along from our previous stay which we asked for so that was a good start. The hotel is the best we have stayed in abroad in every way. The facilities are excellent and cater to every taste, the staff are friendly and attentive and the food is superb with a huge selection to choose from. I should also mention that the evening entertainment is excellent and worthy at least of a 4* hotel. Our holiday was booked for a week, Tuesday to Tuesday. The following I feel I need to include in this review. On the Sunday evening after having watched an excellent show I was getting up out of the chair when my back went into spasm and with some difficulty I made it back to our room with the help of my wife. The next morning I was still in considerable pain and on my way down to breakfast I collapsed in the hallway floor in severe pain and was unable to move. At this point Eva, one of the maid staff came to my aid with towels and bedding to make me more comfortable and called down to reception to advise of the situation. The bell boy Seydina came up and asked how he could help and advised reception that it may be necessary to call a doctor. Shortly after the manageress from reception came up, Monica. She was very helpful and friendly and when the doctor arrived they helped me back to my room where is was given an injection to relieve the pain. Monica sent Seydina to the pharmacy to get further medication the doctor had advised. My point in the latter part of this review is to mention these 3 members of staff in particular who are a real credit to the hotel and i cant thankyou enough. Monica, Seydina and Eva. We look forward to returning to this fantastic hotel .

Its my second time st the Fanabe Sur Hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful. There is a good choice of food breakfast and evening meal something to suit everyone. The fresh fish cooked in front of you was delicious. Nice big double room to myself but you have to pay single room supplement but at least not pushed into a a little box room. Fantatic holiday
