Cordial Mogan Valle - Hotel Info

Cordial Mogan Valle is a family-friendly apartment hotel in the fishing village of Puerto de Mogán on the south west coast of Gran Canaria. The island is known for its beaches and natural scenery as well as the amusements and activities it offers tourists. The hotel is built on a quiet hillside in a modern style that reflects traditional Spanish architecture. It overlooks the mountainous landscape of the coastline down towards the Mediterranean Sea. The beach of Playa de Mogán is a short walk from the hotel. In the area, you'll find local shops and restaurants where you can try some traditional Spanish cuisine..
The hotel has three outdoor swimming pools. There's also a smaller, shallower pool and a splash park for children. You can have a game of table tennis or pool, and there's a gym with a variety of weight and cardio machines to use. Tennis courts are available to rent at the neighbouring hotel, Cordial Mogan Playa.
The buffet restaurant at the hotel offers a range of local and international cuisine. There's also an à la carte restaurant which is open during the winter season. The pool bar serves a variety of alcoholic and soft drinks that can be served to you at your lounger by the pool. For some downtime, you can book a massage or beauty treatment at the hotel's spa. It also has a whirlpool and a sauna for you to enjoy. The hotel puts on regular entertainment during the daytime and evenings.

Stayed at the Cordial Mogan Valle over the Easter holidays. The hotel is very good and has superb facilities for children, our son and family were also staying there. The children enjoyed the swimming pool. The resort of Puerto de Mogan was a short pedestrianized walk down to the beach, so very safe for everyone. The food in the hotel was good and plentiful. Would recommend this hotel and resort, it is ideal for young families .

Me & the wife stayed at the Mogan Valle apartments for 1 week from the 21/4/14 & after reading some mixed reviews we are pleased to say we had a lovely relaxing holiday which is just what we needed. The weather was very good & still have the sunburn to prove it. I emailed the Hotel a couple of weeks earlier asking for a high room as recommended by others & we got a room on the 6th floor which gave us views of the sea & mountains which were stunning to gaze at while lounging on the massive balcony. The apartment was well equipped with a brand new Toaster & kettle, in fact it looked like it had been recently refurbished. Bed was a bit hard but OK for the week but overall we could not fault it. The hotel was not full but there were still those people who got up extra early to put towels on the sunbeds hours before the sun got to them or they intended to use them. This did not bother us this time as we had better views from our balcony & easy access to our own drinks. Perhaps one day hotels will actually remove towels from beds if left unattended for more than 30 minutes!! We stayed self catering but did take up their offer of 4 days half board & went to the 2nd sitting at dinner. Food was OK but would recommend the 1st sitting as some of the food looked like it had been sitting a while. Always found something to eat & the staff in the dinning room work very hard clearing tables & preparing for the next dinners but still found time to smile & speak to you. There are many restaurants in Mogan to suit all budgets. We had breakfast out 3 times & never paid more than 9 euros for the 2 of us. Dinner time you could have steaks in most places ranging from 6 euros right up to 25 euros depending where you ate. Recommend a walk along the sea front for great steaks & a lovely view across the beach but for that special dinner go to the Zoo bar especially if you have children. It is a themed restaurant with all sort of animal statues inside & out but the staff are very friendly & the food was amazing but be warned before you order a starter the main dinners are massive. Make sure you take at least one trip in the glass bottom water taxi to another resort. It is a trip out with sites you wont see from a bus or cab & cheap. Mogan is beautiful day or night wit shops everywhere you turn & there are some nice bars to just sit & watch the world go by. Outside the hotel there is a super market which sells everything you need on a self catering holiday if you wanted to cook & very cheap. There is a massive shopping center which unfortunately only has a few shops still trading which is a shame. Hopefully things will improve & more traders are able to take up some of these shops. The entertainment at the hotel was not the best we have seen so we went out most nights. There is a sports bar next door to the supermarket down stairs at the shopping center. It is a family run business & very friendly, speaking excellent English & nothing to much trouble. Multiple TV screens showing various sports or just music of your choice if you wish. The cocktails are massive & very strong (the wife can vouch for that) but excellent value. Overall the Mogan Valle gave us the relaxing holiday we needed & everyone was very pleasant. Ideal for young family's & couples but don't think there is enough in Mogan to keep the younger party people occupied at nights. They would be better off at Peurto Rica or Playa de-inglis which look like real party towns. We would & hope to go back again. Thank you Mogan Valle.

We had a relaxing time at the Apartme4nts Vordial Mogan Valle. The staff were friendly and helpful and the apartment was clean, airy but not well equipped. The Thomas Cook Rep was hopeless, especially when trying to arrange car hire. The apartment staff were quicker and got a much better deal. The rep seemed intent on selling excursions rather than giving any useful; local knowledge such as explaining the three postal systems.

We visited these apartments last year and loved it so much we returned this year. Apartments are very comfortable and are cleaned on a regular basis. The balconies are large with a shower and two sun beds. Self catered, supermarket over the road with all you need. Would recommend for a truly relaxing holiday.
