The Seaside Palm Beach is a really excellent hotel, yards from the beach and the life of Maspalomas with its bars and restaurants. The Hotel itself is worthy of its 5* rating, the rooms are kept scrupulously clean, and everyone at the hotel goes the extra yard to ensure you have a great break. It really isn't necessary to experience the plentiful restaurants in the area as the food in the hotel is first class, especially the barbecues that are held three times a week, where steaks and lobster are on the menu. We feel so highly about this hotel, that we are going back next year.

This was one of the worst holidays I have ever been on. The resort was less than half open and the bars and restaurants that were did nothing but hassle you. The sol y paz was basic but clean. I was not impressed that there was not an option for air con, you would expect this in the most basic of accommodation. We were given the option to hire a fan for 10euros! The apts were quite noisy with people up all night drinking on the terraces, when asked if they would quieten down we were told to **** off. The neighbours also decided to have a domestic every night and smash up bits of the apt. We did ask if we could be moved as we were both scared and tired but was told No! This was due to the management not knowing which arrivals would be going in which apt. There was also no security at these apts and nor a nightporter. Once the bar closed at 11:00pm you could not contact anyone. To end the worst holiday ever, the manager rented out four apts to some spanish residents. There must have been at least 50 people staying in these 4 man apts. Ask you can imagine trying to get in the pool and get a sun lounger was near impossible. If the managers are going to rent out to this many people, they should have the facilities available. One thing I will say is Pat and the young girl were lovely.

Good points - hotel is in a good location not far from the beach, sand dunes and a shopping centre. I travelled solo and felt completely safe in the hotel and surrounding area. Hotel is a great place for a relaxing break, great pools and spa facilties. My room was immaculate and it was sea facing so watching the sun rise and sunset was beautiful. Also as a coeliac the hotel were able to cater for gluten free bread which was helpful. My concerns - as a vegetarian the hotel had little variety to choose from especially on their barbecue nights which tend to be on tuesdays and thursdays evenings when the other two restaurants in the hotel are closed. The other main reason why i picked this hotel was because the activities advertised included yoga and pilates however whilst i was there the yoga teacher was away so these classes did not take place.
