Just came back from a week at Sunshine apartments and I couldn't have wished for a better holiday!! Thought I would leave this review as before I went I read a lot of negative reviews which made me a it nervous...however there hasn't been any recent ones so here you go! Me and my friend stayed here in an apartment for a week at the beginning of September! On arrival we were a bit nervous as it doesn't look the greatest from the outside...however from the moment we walked through the door we felt so relieved! We were welcomed by a receptionist who explained some basic ground rules which I think were perfectly acceptable...you need to leave 100 euro deposit on arrival for the room which you get back no problem as long as you look after the room! We were given wristbands to wear at all times...security are quite strict and will not let you in on a night if you aren't wearing it! We headed up to our room in which we were pleasantly suprised...it was HUGE. Kitchen area was very basic but what do you expect from a 18.30 hotel?! Balcony was massive! You can get air con for 5 euro a day and 3 euro a day for a deposit box. All of the staff were so friendly and helpfyl, especially our rep Carl...such a lovely lad and really good at his job! Would highly recommend the boat party and sunset cruise...amazing!! Pool area was lovely and clean, staff were permanently clearing away throughout the day. You can only take food and drink that has been bought at the hotel around the pool and they are very strict on checking this, however the prices are very reasonable and the food is really nice!! If you are wanting somewhere local to go out for food I would recommend the 'pint pot' pub which is a 2 min walk...it is right on the beach with a beautiful view and the food is very nice...try the chicken kiev!! Plenty of shops right next to hotel and 5 min walk to the water taxi which will take you over to san antonio for 2.50 and runs every 30 mins until midnight. You can walk to san antonio but its about a 30 mins but a nice walk if you can be bothered. All in all a fantastic holiday and we are actually going to book to stay here again next year!!!

great holidays for a group of friends
These apartments are fantastic to stay in, me and 3 other friends went, they can be very strict at night but if you make friends with the security guard and receptionist then your fine, a lot of young people be staying at the resort and the pool has a great atomsphere all day with the music playing and people sitting about, they also serve food but we prefered to eat at a resturant round the corner called georges. had a ball and would defiently go back.

we went away as four girls when we read the reviews we were really worried about what to expect,
when we arrived we were quickly checked in and shown to our room,
rooms clean, basic and light and airy, recommend air con tho, we had a view of the pool, and the location was central to everywhere but far enough that we heard no noise from late night clubbers,
the reception and bar staff were very friendly and got to know us all by the second day, they ran a very tight ship and was always cleaning up around pool etc!!!!
would defo go again had a great time ignore bad reviews!!!!!

Were two 24 yr olds and we just got back from a week staying at the sunshine apartments, the staff are very helpful and friendly. The night security man is on the ball and doesn't take any rubbish from troublemakers. The room was a good size but very basic, we had requested a sea view which we got which was great, the self catering facilities were simple but we ate at the bar most days so didn't really affect us. The hotel is clean but definitely geared more to young people not families as can be very noisy at night. The only downside we found was that you can't take drinks by the pool, understand that they want you to by their alcoholic drinks but you couldn't even take a bottle of water to the pool. Is a bit of a hike from main San Antonio takes about 30 minutes to walk or you can get a boat across the bay for €2.50. All in all though we had a brilliant holiday and made some fab friends and are hoping to go back next year.
