Travelled to Hyatt Zilara 24th Jan for two weeks. The staff at the hotel are fantastic, they are happy to serve you whether you tip or not. The rooms are great with fantastic beds and pillows, you get to choose what pillow you like. The mini bars have a great selection of drinks and you also have four bottles of spirits. The view from all the rooms are oceanfront with great views of the beach and sea. There are a lot of restaurants that you don't have to book with the exception of Chefs plate which is for higher category of rooms, but we didn't miss it as the other restaurants were excellent. The entertainment was very good with different bands on each evening after a floor show with acrobatics and Mexican dancing. Flights to and from Cancun were very good although there seemed to be a problem with seating in the premium cabin. One disappointment was having to wait over an hour on arrival on the bus for two sets of passengers, who didn't turn up. I would have thought considering the cost of the Hotel and being a signature holiday we would have had taxi transfers, something TC should look at. All in all an enjoyable holiday and one that I would recommend.

booked this hotel as royal cancun , but by the time we went it had been taken over as hyatt zilara . we had nothing to compare to but we found this hotel amazing, from the waiting staff to the pool / beach butlers, to house keeping , to bar staff everyone could not do enough for you. bedding changed daily towels twice daily ! nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff. we would recomend this hotel 100 per cent , cant wait to go back

We stayed at the Royal and it was absolutely amazing, the staff could not do enough for you. Stayed at some great hotels but this was just unbelievable. Definitely worth every penny.

This hotel is really fantastic, probably the best I've ever stayed in. The service at all the bars, restaurants, pool, beach, gym and spa were all excellent. The location is great, private enough to have a relaxing time on the beach yet still only 5 minutes in a taxi to go to the centre of the hotel zone where all the night life is. The gym and spa are also excellent and the spa treatments were reasonably priced for such a hotel. The restaurants are a little mixed in quality in my opinion. Maria Marie, Chef's Plate and Pelicanos were all very good. The buffet-style restaurant Spice is also quite nice. However, the Asian restaurant and Tapas restaurant had a really poor selection and weren't good at all. The only other complaint I had about the hotel is that I asked several times for the hotel staff to provide tea bags in my room as well as just coffee but it never happened. I also had to ask a lot of times to get more toiletries in the bathroom. These are minor complaints but not something I'd expect from a hotel like this. Apart from these small issues I'd have no trouble recommending this hotel to anyone wanting a hotel in Cancun and was really very happy with my stay there and didn't want to leave! On the complete opposite from the service in the hotel was the service from Thomas Cook on the flight. It was like flying with EasyJet for 12 hours. Nothing is included in the price of the holiday so absolutely everything on the flight must be paid for. This includes headphones, adapters for your headphones, all drinks and food, even the TV! And the TV didn't even work on either of my flights there or back. Blankets and pillows were only available for children. I think the level of service on a flight as long as this was absolutely abysmal and really didn't contribute to my feeling of staying in a luxury hotel or a enjoying a nice holiday.

THE ROYAL IS BY FAR THE BEST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED AT. MY WIFE AND I WERE TREATED LIKE KING AND QUEEN FOR 12 DAYS, THE SERVICE IS GREAT, FOOD IS FAB, THE STAFF CAN'T DO ENOUGH FOR YOU. WE WILL DEFFO BE GOING BACK HERE. I KNOW I SOUND LIKE I OWN THE HOTEL BUT IT REALLY IS THAT GOOD AND YOU WONT BE DISSAPPOINTED. RAFAEL ONE OF THE STAFF AROUND THE POOL GREAT GUY EVEN CLEANS YOUR SUNGLASSES FOR YOU. ALTOGETHER SUPERB
