We have just returned from qawra palace hotel was there from 3-14 August, with our family, very nice holiday, hotel good, food very good , plenty of choice, staff friendly except for 1 who was grumpy and rude. excellent location, nice views by the sea. Rooms very clean, but in our room wardrobe handle was off and sliding doors not very good, very nice bathroom, but very small balcony, not enough room for 4 people, we were overlooking the courtyard which didn't have nice views, overlooked by the other balconies, but wasn't a problem for us as we were out all the time. Entertainment was a bit old fashioned, not for the youngsters, but OK, also pool area was fine, but you have to get up at 6am to get a sunbed, we were told that the pool didn't open until 8, and that they removed the towels, but that was a lie, but all in all a very enjoyable holiday and would recommend this hotel. The hotel and room itself wasn't too bad the food was ok but the bartender was very creepy I was a lone traveler and he made me feel very uncomfortable. It got to the point where I didn't even want to go down to the bar because of his behaviour. Very rude

What a wonderful place Malta is and the Qawra Palace Hotel certainly didn't let down the image. Family of 4 travelled, the room was clean with walk-in shower. Restaurant offered plenty of choice and the All Inclusive package a bonus. Good entertainment in the evening and absolutely beautiful views across the bay from the swimming pool. Tunnel under the road offered easy access to the pool and a very peaceful 10 days was enjoyed. Thomas Cook's staff also gave a fantastic service throughout making the whole holiday a great experience....thank you all!

We were a bit concerned after reading all the negative reviews of this hotel after we had booked. The room we had for three of us was larger than we thought and the bathroom was larger than we expected, in fact it was larger than what we get for a 4 star hotel in Devon. The room probably could have done with decorating but there was nothing which put us off. The third bed did appear to be made from wood with a mattress placed on top. We found there was a lot of choice for breakfast and evening meal although for an early breakfast you only get cereal, bread, cheese and ham. The lifts take a bit of getting use to as you can sometimes stop several times before getting to the floor you want. We were able to find loungers/beds by the pool as we were out there quite early. If we decide to return to Malta, we will definitely want to return to this hotel.
