Nice, but very overpriced for what you actually get I think. Lovely buffet, lovely weather, very clean nice hotel. Cost over £1,000 for anything you could find at a more reasonably priced hotel though. I used the phone for about 45 minutes and they charged me the equivalent of £150-£200 extra which I didn’t know about with it being all inclusive. No-one told me the checkout time either, so I just assumed with it being a package holiday it would be around the time of my flight. But when I went back to my room at about mid-day the day before I was due to leave, the staff had left a note telling me to call reception, so I did. They said I had to be out of my room in 10 minutes or I’d have to pay extra charges. I was very upset and panicked because my flight wasn’t until the following day. This was all quite scary because I have not been on holiday since I was a little girl and had no idea what was going on. Pro’s... Good food, clean hotel, sun beds on the beach, not too overcrowded. Cons... Too far away from anywhere, no shops to walk around, little or no experience of the culture. Good for people who want a sunbathing holiday in a clean hotel without having to cook or worry about where to eat.

The hotel itself was clean, well kept and the staff were friendly and helpful. We were disappointed with the all inclusive activities with aqua gym 2 mornings but nothing else visible. The best feature by far is the lunchtime menu at the beach with the excellent pasta and pizzas. The down side of this resort is that you are based miles from anywhere. A 25 minute bus ride was necessary to get to anywhere worth visiting. This was not clear in the brochure. We were told that you could walk to the nearest resort but with a pushchair and no pavements this was not attempted.

We had a two week holiday at dos playas hotel in Cancun, Mexico. The accommodation was average except when it rained heavily, the windows leaked into the room. On one occasion it flooded the whole room. The food I can only describe as disgusting slops. It was never hot, a very limited choice unless you love chicken. The best meals we had were away from the hotel. There was no evening entertainment as we were promised by Thomas Cook. The beach was fine and bar service was good. Overall we paid the most we have for a holiday and ended up with the worst holiday we have had.

We went to Mareblue June this year. This was the second time we have stayed there. Food is excellent, people who work there are very friendly and all speak English. The beach is located down a hill from the hotel (okay walking down but getting back up the hill is a killer if you have breathing problems or walking difficulties, but there was a mini bus you could use.) We went to a Greek night /buffet held at the beach restaurant it was a great night. There is also plenty entertainment.

Just returned from our second holiday at the aeolos, and enjoyed it again, food exceptional, staff attentive. Room basic but always clean. No problem getting a sunbed at pool or beach. Look forward to going back.
