I am astonished with some of comments on the Ascos ! We came home on Friday 28/10/16 after a wonderful holiday, the staff are exceptional, the food is outstanding ! if you go hungry here YOU have the problem NOT the Hotel. Constantinnos ( hope I spelt that correctly ) is a master at his job !! Very friendly and helpful as are all the Cypriot people I have ever met. My only negative is the cleaners let it down, HIGHLY recommend a holiday here !! Thank you Ascos Coral Beach Hotel ! Pearl and Andy ( 408 )

Me and my partner stayed at the Ascos Coral Beach Hotel from 17th of july to the 24th. The hotel was rated at 4* but after actually staying there we would rate this as a 3*. The bathroom was quite grubby. The reception staff wernt the most polite people to deal with, aspecially when they had messed up our room. ( we booked a full sea view and got a side view) The Thomas Cook rep wasn't much better either. We had to prompt her for information and ask basic questions about the excursions, something which as a rep she should be giving us the informaiton. She was complaining about how hot it was and also she was always late at her desk and other quest who waitied for her just gave up and went on back to the pool. The pool area was fantastic. Unlimited drinks which was needed in 40c heat. The pool staff are quite grumpy and the russian guest staying there where very rude. Mohammed the entertainer did the same old tricks and shows every night wich became boring after a while, as did the food that was on offer, we ended up eating out at a few resturants in the evening which again was fantastic. the Cypriots on the main strip are really friendly and couldn't do enough for you, something the hotel and resturant staff should take note Internet access was €30 a week and my partner is on the 3 mobile network so didn't have any signal to call home. we did however have whatsapp free wifi calling The flights where shocking. We paid £1500 (for the holiday) for both of us and booked in january. By march, they changed the flight operators. and the plane was like a bake bean can with wings . the air stewardesses where rude, they would just ignore you. The only plus point from the flight was we didn't die. All that being said we still enjoyed the holiday and would recommend it but i would suggest eating out a few nights and leaving the hotel for entertainment. Also don't go there expecting a lavish 4* hotel because it isn't.

We recently came back from a week at the Ascos Hotel, leaving the weather aside as it was out of our control, we had a mixed weeks holiday. The Hotel it's self was a clean pleasant hotel, yes it needs a little TLC, but overall not too bad, the service was very good whether around the pool in the restaurant or in the lounge there was allways someone asking if you wanted anything to drink. the food was ok if not similaly done each time. The area it's self has not much to offer, if you like visiting places a higher car is a must, there are local buses which are frequent but to get further a field a car would be easier. Overall we had a nice holiday but would visit another part of the island if we went again, as there are so many places in the world to see we would rather go somewhere new
