We went as a couple but this hotel would be more suited to families. The culture in Bulgaria takes a little bit of getting used to but the people were friendly. The pool was great but as always people get up at 6am to put towels on the sun beds - really should be disallowed. The hotel was clean but the bathroom always smelt repungant dispite rooms being cleaned every day. We stayed bed and breakfast and the breakfast was filling - just found salad for breakfast strange. Loved the water melon though. Location of the hotel is great. Right next to the supermarket, beach, restaurants and a lovely bakery place. Oh and bus stop! Even though I have only given this hotel a rating of very good, I would definitely go back. Bulgaria was very cheap and very sunny. Great holiday had. There is no entertainment provided in this hotel which means it is quiet in the evenings.

my wife and I arrived at around 4.30 am and there was a nice lady on reception who checked us in very fast and we hired safe and put everything in it to go bed.the lady said the bell boy would take us to our room,at the room I told the bell boy I would sort him in the morning,he was not very happy with this and did not want to leave,he said he would take me back to the safe so I could pay him.i would not do this and got him to leave but he was not happy.in the morning he was in reception and I went in the safe with him watching over me and give him 5 lev as a tip to get rid of him.the room was very clean and tidy and the cleaners came in daily and the was always plenty of hot water.the food in the breakfast room was the normal you would get at a hotel, nothing special but perfectly fine.the only problem at breakfast is the would take your plates away before you has finished.twice I was still eating bread and the plate was taken from me.over all the hotel was very nice but maybe they could teach the bell boy and the breakfast staff some manners.i was not intimidated by the bell boy wanting money witch I did not have because I was in the same but I,m sure some people would be. I would give the hotel 5 out of 5 but because of the bell boy and the breakfast staff I would say its more like 3 and half out of 5.

We had a great time at sunny day. The rooms were so clean and the cleaners were in every morning to tidy up. The staff were also great and very friendly. They also had cleaners who were constantly tidying by the pool ashtrays always emptied, glasses always taken away. They also have 4 slides now which r good fun for kids and adults.

Sunny Day Hotel was absolutely fantastic! I went with a group of friends in July 2012 and was really surprised by what we got for our money. They hotel rooms were immaculate, the pool was really clean, the food menu at the hotel was really varied, something for everyone. It wasn't dead but not overly busy at any time of day either. It was a 5 min walk to the start of the strip with all the bars, restaurants, clubs on. Staff were really friendly and even came on nights out with us. Best holiday i have ever had! Completely recommend this hotel. Great for 18-30s.

First time to Bulgaria. Stayed with my 2 daughters (early 20's) for a week on b&b basis at the Sunny Day hotel. Although the room was large enough to accommodate 3 adults, the sofa bed provided was really only suitable for a child. The main room was always kept spotlessly clean but the shower room was mouldy and smelly, the hotel reception staff were friendly but the breakfast was of a poor standard and the pool is not large enough for swimming. The patio area outside our room was also very small for 3 of us as the air conditioning unit took up space. All of these things let the hotel down unfortunately and we would question its 3 star status. We also experienced high noise levels especially in the early hours as our room was located on the ground floor near the entrance, lift and stairwell, facing the busy road. There was no entertainment at the hotel during our stay but just a short walk away is the main resort and whilst the huge sandy beach is fab, please be aware of the bar and restaurant touts- they are persistant and it can be annoying and also you need to pay to go to the loo. If you have mobility problems there are areas in the main resort where the pavements are in a poor state of repair. Would recommend Nessebar for a day out- only 1 lev on bus each way- but be aware of the persistant bracelet sellers.
