This insurance policy has been designed to cover you (and anyone named on the insurance policy) for unforeseen events, accidents and Serious Illnesses. To ensure that you (and anyone named on the insurance policy) are covered you need to declare to us any illness that you (and anyone named on the insurance policy) may have or have had that falls within the definition of an Existing Medical Condition.
Under the conditions of your Thomas Cook Travel Insurance policy, an Existing Medical Condition means:
a) respiratory condition (relating to the lungs or breathing)
b) cardiovascular condition (including any condition relating to the heart, arteries, veins, cholesterol or blood pressure)
c) stroke including a cerebrovascular condition (CVA) or a transient ischaemic attack (TIA)
d) diabetes or
for which you (or anyone named on the insurance policy) have ever received treatment (including surgery, tests or investigations by a doctor or a consultant / specialist, or prescribed drugs or medication).
2. Any Medical Condition for which you (or anyone named on the insurance policy) have received surgery, treatment or investigations in a hospital or clinic within the last six months.
3. Any medical Condition for which you (or anyone named on the insurance policy) are on a waiting list for or have knowledge of the need for surgery, in patient treatment or investigation at a hospital, clinic or nursing home.
