Why choose Allure of the Seas?

Simply the largest passenger vessel afloat, the Allure of the Seas has reinvented cruising with its outstanding layout, facilities and service. One of the fleet's two Oasis class ships, the Allure of the Seas was launched in December 2010 and specialises in Caribbean cruises. It might be a struggle to jump ship and explore one of these island paradises as this giant of the seas is packed with entertainment to suit all ages and tastes. The latest games keep children occupied in the video arcade and youngsters can busy themselves on scavenger hunts and sports competitions.

Destination and Itineraries

Throughout the year the Allure of the Seas tours the eastern and the western islands of the Caribbean from its home port of Miami. Each cruise includes seven nights on board and takes up to ten days in total including a night in a Miami hotel. The Western Caribbean cruises head out from Fort Lauderdale to Labadee in Haiti, where Royal Caribbean has its own private beach. If stretching out on a beautiful beach doesn’t excite you, the vast array of watersports or the thrilling zip wire will keep passengers entertained.

Next stop is Falmouth in Jamaica, where the natural wonders of the luminous lagoon, the Dunns Rivers Waterfall or a river safari are all within easy reach. Along the coast guests can swim with dolphins, sharks and stingrays, or further inland a visit to a plantation is available. After a day at sea the next stop is the Mexican island of Cozumel, which offers an opportunity to see first-hand a wealth of wildlife which earned this place its Mayan name of ‘island of swallows’. Another relaxing day at sea follows, taking advantage of the ship's unrivalled facilities before returning to Fort Lauderdale, from where the Everglades are within easy reach.

Eastern Caribbean tours go on for ten days and after a night in Miami set sail from Fort Lauderdale to Nassau in the Bahamas, where excursions include taking hand held water scooters to ride alongside dolphins as they swim. A day at sea precedes a visit to St Maarten in the Leeward Islands, where the clash of Dutch and French - whose empires both laid claim to the island - creates a heady cultural mix of sophistication and celebration. Another day at sea follows before the ship returns to Fort Lauderdale.

Cruise Ship and facilities

A floating world of entertainment and activities characterises every corner of this vast ship. There are several styles of cabin to choose from. Luxury staterooms include the royal loft suite, occupying two floors, with a private balcony, separate bedrooms, two dining areas and even a baby grand piano! Royal suites also have a whirlpool bath and a presidential family suite has no less than four bedrooms. For larger groups, sky lofts can link up through connecting doors.

Balcony suites either have views of the open sea or one of the ship’s stunning interior spaces. They are all equipped with TV telephone and safe and 24 hour room service, and the single beds can be converted into a queen size double. The sofa can also be turned into an additional bed. Outside staterooms have the same facilities but no balcony, and interior staterooms have two twin beds or one queen sized bed.

You’ll find an amazing array of amenities are on board including a day spa and fitness centre, the H20 water park with a spectacular surf simulator, two other pools, two rock climbing walls, a zip wire and mini golf. Allure of the Seas has no less than 25 different dining options including the three main restaurants, from the formal 150 Central Park Restaurant to the Windjammer Café. As a special treat passengers can take a place at the chef’s table where a special menu is prepared by a personal chef.

Evening entertainment is provided in the three entertainment lounges including a water show in the Aqua theatre, the on board casino, wine bar and champagne bar.

No matter how active or indulgent you want your cruise to be, your needs can be met on board this colossus of the oceans. Hours and hours of entertainment don’t stop when the Allure of the Seas sails into port, with action packed excursions at every destination.
