Why choose Ocean Princess?

The Ocean Princess is one of the smallest and most intimate ships in the Princess cruises fleet. With the feel of a luxurious boutique hotel and matching the Princess’s most exotic itineraries, this cruise offers accessible elegance that is hard to beat. The small crew prides itself on the personal touch, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere for the passengers that return to travel upon the Ocean Princess time and time again.

Destinations and Itineraries

The big benefit of sailing on a smaller ship is access to the hidden gems across Asia, Europe and the South Pacific.

Visit the Pacific Islands on a fly cruise whose very names create an air of mystery and adventure. Embark from Tahiti in French Polynesia and find out why this area of the world has attracted explorers and fortune seekers since time immemorial. Stop in at the Cook Islands, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Tonga and Samoa and many more on a 10-night cruise.

If you want to stay a little closer to home, Mediterranean cruise, where you can visit the incredible natural landscape of Portugal and the rugged coastline of Gibraltar before an opportunity to discover the region’s most iconic sites in Barcelona and Rome. You can even sample the delights of our local landscapes on an eight-day exploration of Ireland, Scotland and Wales.

For something truly exotic, you may want to consider the 38-night odyssey to the Far East, including stops at the amazing attractions of the Mediterranean. The journey will take you into the United Arab Emirates, Oman, India, and even as far as Malaysia.

Activities and Entertainment

You’ll never be short of something to do during your days at sea with dancing classes, cooking demonstrations, shopping seminars and art auctions available. You can even brush up on your photography or computing skills with some ScholarShip@Sea courses.

If that all sounds like hard work and you like your cruise holidays to be as relaxing as possible -- you can always enjoy a soak in one of the ship’s two whirlpools or pamper yourself at the Lotus Spa. Here, you can enjoy facials, massages and body wraps to keep you looking and feeling relaxed during your time away. There are even special treatments available on port days.

After a refreshing tipple against the backdrop of an exotic sunset, explore a huge range of evening activities. Enjoy a vibrant show at the ship’s main venue, the Cabaret Lounge, relax on a cosy fireside couch with some live piano music at the Casino Bar or let loose with a little bit of dancing at the Tahitian Lounge.

The Ocean Princess is one of Princess Cruises best loved smaller ships and it’s easy to see why; she’s the glamorous, boutique way to do luxury cruise holidays.

The Ocean Princess boasts the same level of facilities as the bigger ships, albeit on a smaller scale. The burgundy carpet and dark wood add a unique quality to the decor and there are plenty of seating areas spread throughout the ship. You’ll feel like you’re spending some time with a friend at their intimate country house. From classic dining options to speciality restaurants, buzzing nightlife to cocktails by the pool, the facilities on board are superb.

Choosing accommodation on the Ocean Princess couldn’t be easier. There are only five kinds of cabins to choose from, but they vary across the budget range so everyone can find the perfect room. A huge 92% of the staterooms are outside and 75% have verandas so it’s not hard to find a room with a view. The staterooms are also surprisingly spacious for such a modestly-sized vessel. All rooms have a mini-fridge, telephone, rack of hangers and plenty of storage space. In-cabin televisions feature programming from CNN, ESPN, TNT and the wonderful Discovery Channel, perfect for children and adults alike.

A modest, yet excellent selection of options is the order of the day aboard the Ocean Princess. Book fixed seating and feast on classic cruise cuisine at the Club Restaurant if you prefer formal dining--perhaps some fresh lobster or a perfectly cooked Beef Wellington! Adventurous guests may want to try the frog’s legs or even some game. There’s a vast array of mouth-watering Italian specialities at Sabatini’s, including dipping bread, antipasti, Mediterranean olives and the renowned veal chop. At the luxurious Sterling Steakhouse, serving staff present a tempting tray of beef cuts that includes rib eye and filet mignon. Those with a sweet tooth will certainly not be disappointed by the chocolate pecan pie or peach turnover. Drop in the Panorama Buffet for a quick snack with floor-to-ceiling views across the waves.
