Why chooses Golden Princess?

The Golden Princess is a beacon of excellence in mega-ship cruising. Her first-rate facilities, elegant decor and exciting itineraries make her a popular vessel with couples and families alike. Whether you want an active break or crave some rest and relaxation, the Golden Princess of the Princess cruises fleet offers you a huge range of attractions. You can do as much or as little as you like before sailing to the bright lights and great sights of the USA and South America.

Destinations and Itineraries

Itineraries available on the Golden Princess are custom-made for fly cruise holidays. You have voyages ranging from the one-night Pacific Coastal Getaway cruise sailing from Seattle for just £90 right through to a 17-night adventure through South America. Take in the big West Coast hotspots of the USA in Eugene, San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego or head further afield to enjoy the warm welcome of South American ports and beautiful beaches in Mexico, Nicaragua, Costa Rica, Peru and Chile.

Activities and Entertainment

If you just want to relax, unwind and bask in the bright sunshine, the ship’s four swimming pools make sure there’s no congestion. If it does cloud over at any point, you can always head to the Neptune Reef, a climate-controlled space that means the relaxation continues even if the sunshine doesn’t. If you need a little time away from those shrill young voices, the adults-only Sanctuary pool is the perfect oasis of calm.

There’s also a swim-against-the-current lap pool and a sports court. Or, you could challenge the family to a few strokes on the nine-hole putting course. Ease any stiffness and strain with a rejuvenating treatment at the luxurious Lotus Spa.

If you want to exercise the mind as well as the body, consider signing up for one of the Golden Princess’s engaging lectures part of ScholarShip@Sea. Cruise holidays culture vultures will love the art exhibitions and classes taught by local experts. If you’re in the mood for couture instead of culture or you need to find that gift for a loved one back home, you can find great deals – as much as 30% off -- on Swarovski, Calvin Klein, Lancôme and Clinique from the ship’s chic boutiques.

The ship comes alive after dark with jaw-dropping shows at the Princess Theatre, live music at the Vista Lounge and an outdoor cinema ‘Movies Under The Stars’. There’s nothing quite like cosying up under a blanket with the whole family and enjoying a holiday classic on the high seas.

Take a holiday aboard the Golden Princess, safe in the knowledge that your cruise experience is in the most capable hands! Take a short but unforgettable voyage amidst the undeniable charm of the States or try something truly different and explore the exotic destinations of South America before returning home rejuvenated, relaxed and full of stories to tell.

A warm and welcoming buzz spreads throughout the ship’s Piazza, a delightful hub where you can come to meet friends for a drink, grab a coffee or quick pastry and simply sit back and relax. From here, it’s easy to find your way to the huge number of entertainment venues, bars, swimming pools, sports court and the cinema. There are ample facilities for children including a Fun Zone for the three to 12 year olds and the ‘Off Limits’ teen room. The teens even get a whole sun deck devoted to them, so they can relax away from the watchful eye of their parents (but not away from the watchful eye of the friendly staff).

Of the 1,316 rooms onboard, a staggering 736 have private balconies. Included in this number are 42 suites ranging from the Premium to the Grand and there are even two 10 person family suites if you plan on bringing the extended family along. The cabin and suite interiors are tastefully decorated in a calming combination of beige and baby blue. Standard cabins have all those little necessities that you need such as televisions, safes, mini-fridge, hair dryers and a place to write those much-appreciated postcards. They also feature Princess Cruises’ trademark walk-in style wardrobes between the sleeping area and the bathroom, so you don’t have any cumbersome cupboard doors taking up space in the room. If you really want to splash about or are celebrating one of those truly special occasions, the Grand Suites have their own wet bar and a gigantic whirlpool tub.

At any hour of day, there’s a whole host of chefs preparing something special for your next meal. If you fancy a quick and tasty pizza by the pool or a traditional three course meal of delectable dishes, the huge range of culinary options on offer is sure to impress. The speciality restaurants aboard the Golden Princess really take cruise dining to the next level. Enjoy a taste-buds tour of Italy at Sabatini’s, with over eight kinds of antipasti, fresh seafood and amazing authentic pasta dishes or savour mouth-watering premium-grade beef at the New York-themed Crown Grill.
