In November Nautica sails between Barcelona and Dubai and another cruise takes the ship from Dubai to Cape Town, sailing through the Indian Ocean. Two Australasian cruises are scheduled as well as the South Pacific Islands.
In the Americas, Oceania Cruises ships sail between Miami, Buenos Aires, Rio, Valparaiso and Lima; sailing around Cape Horn and the Chilean Fjords, whilst other itineraries see ships transit the Panama Canal from New York to Los Angeles. A host of sailings take in the awe-inspiring views of Alaska in the summer and the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean during the winter months. Far East cruises are also scheduled with a selection of ships calling in at Singapore, Hong Kong and Beijing, many of which have overnight stays in port allowing the time you need to fully explore. If you really like life on board an Oceania Cruises vessel, several worldwide ‘grand voyages’ are scheduled next year. What better way to see dozens of sights that have drawn travellers for generations than on one of these beautiful ships? If you have more time on your hands, Oceania Cruises also offer a 180 Night World Cruise! Discover Your World, Your Way.
Insignia, Nautica, Regatta and the newest addition Sirena are all classed as medium-sized ships, carrying just 680 privileged guests on board and more than 60% of their staterooms have a balcony. The beautifully furnished public rooms create a unique atmosphere of luxury and casual elegance, a country-club ambience, a home away from home.
The staterooms have good storage space and are well appointed. All staterooms feature flat-screen TV with satellite programming, DVD player complete with extensive library, refrigerated mini-bar with FREE and UNLIMITED soft drinks & bottled water replenished daily. All staterooms also come complete with the Oceania Cruises exclusive ‘Prestige Tranquillity Bed’ and 1000-thread Egyptian cotton linens. Veranda staterooms allow guests a little more space but for those looking for the ultimate in luxury accommodation, Oceania Cruises suites are amongst the largest and most sumptuous at sea, complete with personal Butler service to cater for your every whim.
There are four speciality, open-seating dining venues onboard the three classic, smaller ships; all at no additional charge – The Grand Dining Room, serving European-inspired fine cuisine as well as healthy options, Toscana, a gourmet Italian restaurant serving authentic family recipes, Polo Grill serving the finest prime cuts of meat including 28-day dry-aged USDA registered beef and the casual Terrace Cafe where guests can dine al fresco. Wherever you eat on board, the standard of food and service is exceptionally high. Sirena will feature two new speciality restaurants: Tuscan Steak and Reg Ginger. Additionally, the line recognised for serving the finest cusine at sea will transform the Grand Dining Room into Jacques Bistro for lunch, offering an exclusive menu featuring some of legendary chef Jacques Pépin’s signature dishes.
On Riviera and Marina, the two newer, beautifully mid-sized ships, there are no less than six distinctive open-seating dining venues, serving the finest cuisine at sea, all at no additional charge. In addition to the four restaurants already mentioned, Marina and Riviera also feature ‘Jacques’, a classic French Provencal restaurant by famed Executive Culinary Director Jacques Pépin and ‘Red Ginger’, a contemporary Asian fusion restaurant, home of the mouth-watering Miso-glazed Chilean Seabass.
These two stunning ships were designed to be distinctive and special in so many ways. Featuring the magnificent Lalique Grand Staircase, stunning Owner's Suites, and designer touches throughout the entire ships, Riviera and Marina showcase rich residential design and furnishings. The refined ambience onboard truly embodies the unparalleled Oceania Cruises experience.
Ideally proportioned, Marina and Riviera still embrace the same warmth and charm of renowned Regatta, Insignia, Nautica and Sirena. While the impeccable level of personalised service and the casual-elegant ambience remain the same.
The dress code on an Oceania Cruises ship is elegant but casual during the day and smart casual in the evenings. The country club-casual ambience means that tuxedos and gowns are never required.
As one might expect from a premium cruise line, there is a variety of entertainment options, from critically-acclaimed headline entertainers to full stage production shows and cabaret-style performances. The entertainment is sophisticated and low-key. All ships have a show lounge, a library and a casino. The newer Marina and Riviera also feature the ‘Bon Appetit Culinary Centre’, the first hands-on cooking school at sea. In addition, daytime enrichment activities include the Artist’s Loft (Marina, Riviera and Insignia only), where budding artists can learn to paint with oils or watercolours from talented artists-in-residence or hear from many captivating guest lecturers.
At four PM, traditional English afternoon tea is served in Horizons lounge, offering spectacular views out to sea from high above the bridge. Oceania Cruises offering of free and unlimited soft drinks and bottled water also extends to complimentary speciality teas and coffees which are available anytime, anywhere on every ship.
For the health conscious there is a fitness centre on board each ship and a day at the on board spa may be great way of relaxing and indulging in some well-deserved treatments. Oceania Cruises has teamed up with the famed Canyon Ranch Spa Club to offer their guests an array of relaxing treatments in luxurious surroundings from signature massages to facials and aromatherapy.
The two newer ships each have 16 treatment rooms on board and all have three whirlpools and plenty of sunbathing space on the abundant teak decks for those lazy days at sea.
Having celebrated ten years in the cruise line business, Oceania Cruises has successfully created a formula for sophisticated yet relaxed and casual cruising. Service is flawless and discreet and the food first class. You’ll find elegant staterooms and public spaces and a sophisticated selection of entertainments and activities are on offer.
