With the reduced exchange rate and the growing financial problems within Europe, we examine the option of travelling further afield to find a more cost effective holiday. Rachael Pettit, our Head of Channel Management and Sales Development, talks us through the popular non-Euro destinations:
- Here at Thomas Cook, we offer a fantastic choice of holidays to suit all budgets, both in and outside the euro. It’s certainly true that there’s been a rise in popularity in non-Euro destinations such as Turkey, Egypt and Tunisia – all of which are particularly well known for offering great value for money all inclusive packages.
- However destinations such as Greece and Spain remain immensely popular and still offer a variety of competitive deals, with many bars and restaurants offering great food and drink for much less that what it would cost in the UK. In fact, there are still a large proportion of European destinations that have performed extremely well this year for example Greece.
- Outside of the Euro zone, many attractions such as water slides are included in the price as they are based in the property – Egypt and Turkey are fantastic examples.
