Where is Hot in January?

Unfortunately for us UK dwellers, the month of January is said to be the most depressing of the year. The thrill and excitement of Christmas and New Year gives way to colder, darker and quieter times. So why not give yourself something to look forward to and enjoy a much-needed bit of winter sun to get your year off to a great start? ‘But where is hot in January?’ I hear you say. Well take a look below for my choice of some of the hottest destinations to be heading to this coming January.

Mexico – Average highs of 27⁰C in January

Mexico offers the perfect blend of a Caribbean feel, surrounded by history and culture. You can expect average high temperatures of 27⁰C in the month of January; much better than what you’d be experiencing back in the UK. If you’re looking to spend your time relaxing, you’ll be spoilt for choice by the countless stunning beaches. But if you want to explore the country and learn about its rich history, you can visit some of the incredible Mayan ruins such as Chichen Itza.

Florida – Average highs of 22⁰C in January

There's so much to keep you entertained on a holiday to Florida that you’ll need more than just the usual two weeks. Whether you’re travelling as a couple or a family, you're guaranteed to have the time of your life if you choose to visit any one of the world-class theme parks in Orlando; there’s no wonder Walt Disney World Resort is the number one holiday destination in the world. But if theme parks aren’t your thing, head to Miami for some great shopping and incredible, star-studded beaches.
